Disagree that Judge Coney Barrett considers abortion a woman’s unalienable right. I haven’t found anything that remotely supports that notion.
When she has commented on Roe, her remarks have only gone as far saying that she doesn’t see the law being overturned, rather challenges by states on specific provisions in their states laws.
Agreed.I find that quite an acceptable view for her or any SCJ to hold, and IMO only the Woman should have a say until after birth.
Never forget that you do not have Rights, only Privilege's, after all they are not Rights if they can be taken away.Roe isn't just about abortion. Essentially Roe says: Women have a right to make personal decisions about their private lives and abortion is one of those personal decisions. If Roe is overturned the finding that women have a right to private lives that they control is jeopardized. If you cannot make decisions about your private life, you don't have a private life.
So it's unchristian to prevent a woman from having an abortion for the purpose of killing an unborn child, and that's not unchristian?Wouldnt work. Women have always gotten abortions. Today, there would just be more sophisticated "underground railroads" available to get women to CA, MX, or the gambling ships in international waters that would have nice accomondations and decent medical facilities.
Sadly, some women would still end up getting dangerous back alley abortions...just shows how hateful and unChristian so many pro-lifers are.
If it couldnt be enforced at all, it wouldnt be banned...a SCOTUS decision would have to take into consideration women's Const. rights. That's why I asked you for details. What do you think they would base their decision on if they banned (criminalized) having an abortion?
How is using force to make a woman remain pregnant, forcing her into pain and suffering (that's 100% part of being pregnant), taking away her liberty and bodily autonomy, preventing her from fulfilling her responsibilities to her current dependents, her obligations and commitments to employer, church, community, society 'more Christian? Only the individual woman knows her responsibilities and obligations and her ability to fulfill them during a pregnancy or motherhood. So it's unchristian to prevent a woman from having an abortion for the purpose of killing an unborn child, and that's not unchristian?
The problem with Roe is that it's not just about one life or one body, it's about two. Unfortunately for the pregnant woman she is making a decision for another human life that cannot defend itself.Never forget that you do not have Rights, only Privilege's, after all they are not Rights if they can be taken away.

Isn't that what it is now? Perhaps a Constitutional amendment protecting a Woman's Right to have an abortion would be the thing to do.Joe Biden Says if Amy Coney Barrett Overturns Roe v. Wade, He'll Make It 'The Law of the Land'
Former Vice President Joe Biden has said he'll move to protect abortion rights if the Supreme Court strikes down Roe v. Wade, the historic decision that protected a woman's right to have an abortion.
The Democratic presidential nominee told an NBC News town hall in Miami on Monday that if the historic ruling on abortion is overturned, his "only response to that is pass legislation making Roe the law of the land. That's what I would do."

The republicans don't want this bill as it passes through the house and senate. It'll be them versus the women of America, something that will hurt them in elections for years to come.
Do you think Joe and the democrats will make Roe vs Wade the law of the land?

Even if he does, it won't matter. It's already the law of the land and the debate rages on.
I dont see any way that, realistically, RvW can be overturned. If it is, I support Joe 100%.
Do you really think it's that simple? The justices have to support their reasoning based on the Const. There are at least 10 precedents that support the decision. It can be overturned with a 6-5 vote in favor of overturning. Simple as that. Biden will have a tough time making it the law of the land however. Barrett will simply vote her conscience which is to save fetuses' lives. Once she votes to overturn she won't care what Biden does. Her conscience will be scrubbed clean.

How much power does a VP really have? And was RvW really in any danger then? No. Now he will have more authority and he can take up the challenge.Biden has made the promise to codify Roe before. He didn't even try. He and Obama had 8 years....it would have been work. Joe has shown no propensity to be able to do more than a few minutes in any given day. Just put a lid on it.
LOL thanks for catching that. There are 9 on the SC, not 11. Biden (if he wins the election) may pack it so that RvW isn't overturned.

And how much has The Donald done, in between tweeting, golfing, and eating cheeseburgers? Joe's at least out bike riding, keeping mind and body in shape.
There was no real threat to RvW and he focused on more important things. I guess he gave many conservative Americans the benefit of the doubt that they were no longer Neanderthals.Glad to see you and Joe starting to throw Obama under the bus.......

Everything the hate court Trump baffons decide unlawful have to be dumped totally if there is any way possible. There are many ways actually and they have to be used till we get the senate again and strip the supreme court back to neutral or one liberal ahead.Joe Biden Says if Amy Coney Barrett Overturns Roe v. Roe IS the law of the land, it won't change. All else is political grandstanding, emphasized by elections and nominations, take a pick.
The right will never do anything about this , they don't in any way support taking down Roe vs wade. , they only want the votes that go's with the argument over it. They have had many chances to change it in the past and they didn't and that is the reason. Just another lie from the party that without lies wouldn't or couldn't exist.Joe Biden Says if Amy Coney Barrett Overturns Roe v. Wade, He'll Make It 'The Law of the Land'

Roe isn't just about abortion. Essentially Roe says: Women have a right to make personal decisions about their private lives and abortion is one of those personal decisions.
That's rightBut she shouldn't be allowed to decide what wage to work for - the government must impose a minimum wage that she can legally work for.
So you agree that women do not have the right to make personal decisions about their lives. That's right
