So what has changed?

Maybe Jose can shuffle up to the podium today and after telling a bunch of lies (just pick one of his regular ones) he can comment on how lax gun laws are killing people?

Tell us why Joe.

Less than a week after the horrifying mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary, then-President Barack Obama announced that his vice president Joe Biden would be heading up a task force to develop “a set of concrete proposals [for reducing gun violence,] no later than January.”

“This is not some Washington commission,” the president promised. “This is not something where folks are going to be studying the issue for six months and publishing a report that gets read and then pushed aside. This is a team that has a very specific task: to pull together real reforms right now.” So, serious stuff.

NO

Why would he change his mind?

Why would he change his mind?
Ask silly questions often? One must read first to gain knowledge then less silly questions are asked. Makes you appear more educated in debate forums.

It is not a silly question. Why on earth would his son's conviction, I assume that is what you are talking about, change his mind about gun laws? What is silly is you posting such a ridiculous notion.

Does anybody know which “Jose” @VySky is blathering about?

Did you read the article?

Let me help with this from the link that might help you get on track;

"Considering Biden’s passionate advocacy for prosecuting those who evade existing gun laws, why does he believe there was “justice” in Hunter’s case? An intrepid reporter might want to ask him if he believes someone who brandishes an illegally obtained gun while on crack — and then attempts to dump that weapon in a garbage bin a few feet from a high school — deserves to walk away without any criminal record? Does that comport with his previous recommendations? Or has he changed his mind?"

Curious to hear his thoughts.

Did Biden actually say anything? Or did the author of the article make a supposition? What has Biden done that makes it seem like his position has changed?

YOu do realize that Joe Biden wasn't the prosecutor on the Hunter Biden case, right?

Did you read the article?
Yes, but I don't put much stock in an article written by someone who cant even get simple facts straight so pretty much discounted it as a hack opinion piece. I still still ask why would he change his mind? Just because your son is charged under a law doesn't mean you want the law changed.

Yea, he said he was 'proud' of his sons lawlessness.

Yea, he said he was 'proud' of his sons lawlessness.
That is not what he said. You have about as much credibility as the article you linked to.

I guess it's a shame that Hunter drew a Trump appointed prosecutor who is soft on gun crimes.

Yup.....that's the paragraph that is factually incorrect on the most basic point. It was not Hunter who disposed of the gun .

Depends on who commits the crime. Me and you would not have benefited from being white and the son of POTUS.

I don't believe Joe Biden was the prosecutor who was making charging decisions on the Hunter Biden investigation.

You or I never would have even been charged with that crime.

What? That he was proud of his son?
He said he was proud of his son............the "lawlessness" is part is your value added untruth.

Headline to article is false (as usual):

Here's from the linked story:

Less than a week after the horrifying mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary, then-President Barack Obama announced that his vice president Joe Biden would be heading up a task force to develop “a set of concrete proposals [for reducing gun violence,] no later than January.”

"Biden met with victims’ groups and gun control groups at the White House. He conducted conference calls with “governors of both parties, and state and local elected leaders.” He took all their best ideas and wrote up his suggestions.

So it wasn't Biden, it was a large group of people's ideas that lead to a proposal.

So Biden thinks background checks are adequate?

.......and there is also this untruth in the opinion piece. An intrepid reporter might want to check their facts.

" An intrepid reporter might want to ask him if he believes someone who brandishes an illegally obtained gun while on crack — and then attempts to dump that weapon in a garbage bin a few feet from a high school — deserves to walk away without any criminal record". it was not Hunter who threw the gun in the dumpster it was Hallie Biden who was worried he was going to use it to hurt himself.
