Jesus Missing From Obama's Georgetown Speech

Hey, Jesus said if you deny him, he will deny you in heaven. So Obama (the godless bastard) may have just sent himself to hell.

You are a prime example of why people should just keep their religion to themselves.

Thats the arguement ,ongoing, concerning his bugus birth records, (we call them birth certificates in America...,but sadly his are birth records)

Jeeze...do you really believe this crap or are you just drunk posting?

Jesus also said that we should pray in private and condemned those that publicly display their so called "relgiousity".

No, that's not the argument that's ongoing. That's rubbish that's been debunked. I'd ask you to post some evidence on this matter, however I already know there is none, and to be honest...the three or four posts we've made are mucking up this suckhole of a thread anyway.

My favorite thing, that's not being discussed is the sermon on the mount bit. Obama used it that day, while another day he mocked it and called it radical as he was picking over which parts of the bible were wild and radical.

Compare this:

YouTube - Obama Mocks & Attacks Jesus Christ And The Bible / Video / Obama Is Not A Christian

to this:

YouTube - Obama Compares His Economic Recovery To Jesus' Sermon On The Mount

bwahahahahahahahahahahaha

again, dumbass!!!!

listen again to the first video with your sarcasm alert on.....

listening to the speaker (noting the editing), not the voice over, helps also...;)

we hear what we want to hear, and disregard the rest....:(
from "the boxer", Simon and Garfunkel song....

You think he was being sarcastic? I don't.

Personally, I think the narrator of that first video is the biggest idiot contained on that video.

He creates a massive strawman while missing Obama's point entirely.

For example, If we used the Sermon on the Mount to dictate public policy, how many people would become incarcerated for comitting the crime of adultery simply for "lusting in their hearts"?

Holy ****! That's a pretty radical idea, actually. Lusting in one's heart is adulterous behavior!!!!!

Yep, the narrator is a complete retard.

complete? how can you tell when the brain is completely washed?

Because there's no place in the bible that says "Thou shalt mix thine religion with thine politics" :2razz:

Sounds like the narrator is liable for slander, at the least....

I don't know that it's nothing. The man goes out of his way to bow to Saudi royalty, but his office thinks nothing of offending 280 million Christian Americans. As we get to know this new leader (and many have suggested we do just that), we learn a lot about his priorites, who he extends shows of respect to, and who he sweeps under the rug. I think this minutia is entirely consistent with who this man is. That side of him was either unknown to millions or ignored by millions. But like the rest of the world, we're getting to know the man behind the "yes we can" slogan, and for some of us, it doesn't look all that rosey.

Surely you exaggerate....no way are there that many christians in the USA. there may be that many who claim to be christian....:(
Certainly if they are offended, it hasn't made much impact yet. Are there riots in any cities anywhere over this issue?

Well here part of the problem. For one, there aren't 280 million Christians in this country. According to the 2008 Census, of those who responded, there are just over 173.4 million Christians. There are about 8.8 million non-Christians, and 34 million non-religious.

Now of those 173.4 million self-identified Christians, I am one of them. I am not offended by this. Neither is my wife. Nor are my two adult aged children. All self-identified Christians. I have some former co-workers who are offended by it. But then again they are also offended by the fact that we elected a "black Muslim" as President. So whatever.

Well some of us don't put as much stock in this as some of others do. Like the bow. Some folks are all over that because they view it as him subjugating this "Christian" nation to the leader of a "Muslim" nation. Some of us don't see it that way at all, and to be honest, don't really care all that much.

To each his own. But most on the religious right don't like Obama anyway, and it's no surprise that they are going to criticize him on this.
