Clashes between Palestinians and Israeli police continued through the weekend in East Jerusalem, where tensions have been on the rise for weeks as Israeli officials push to expand settlement and infrastructure construction in the occupied section of the city and the occupied West Bank.
Protests intensified after Israeli forces shot and killed 14-year-old Orwa Abd al-Wahhab Hammad, a Palestinian-American, at a Friday protest in Silwad, a village near Ramallah.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said it "managed to prevent an attack" when it fired on the boy as he prepared to throw a Molotov cocktail — which is a version of events that Palestinian officials deny. The boy's relatives in New Orleans said the IDF responds with fire to children throwing rocks.
"This all happens overseas, where kids throw rocks at military jeeps," Hakeem Khalek, the victim's uncle told the Times-Picayune newspaper. "And of course the Israeli army returned fire (and) we're not talking rubber bullets."

Not good. This will only raise the tensions on the Palestinian side.

To add to this subject matter, you know the condition is dreadful when annex-rampant Putin condemns the Zionist government's mass-appropriation of Palestinian land, and is applauded for it. Not to mention, the UK has condemned Israel and recognized Palestine in a symbolic vote, and the European Union threatened Israel with sanctions. While the UK and EU have not already imposed sanctions on Israel, I suspect that it is forthcoming with the way things are unfolding, not to mention Russia has now joined forces with the UK and EU against Israel's actions, it won't be long before the sanctions begin. The only thing I do not know yet is how the United States is going to go. More than likely I see them joining the anti-Zionist coalition in favor of Palestinian rights, but again, I do not deal in absolutes.

“Some countries, first of which is France, believe Israel must be presented with specific sanctions to be leveled if Israel takes specific actions so that there won’t be any surprises and the price is clear,” a senior European diplomat said.

“However, this issue is still under discussion and no final decision has been made.”

Israel’s Foreign Ministry has followed the EU preparations to up the tone against Israel for several weeks. In discussions held over the issue in the ministry on Tuesday the expectation was floated that the message relayed by the EU ambassador would be the opening shot ahead of new European sanctions against the Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

“The negotiations the EU is offering are really the hearing before the sentence,” a senior official in the ministry said.

I for one can care less if Palestine gets swallowed up by Israel.

Israel = friend

rest of ME = economic partner AT MOST or absolute hated enemy

c'mon
you know bibi/the israeli government want peace
just watch how they go about achieving it

The only people who can stop the agenda is the US. Threaten to withdraw support and they would stop. Only problem is it would be political suicide domestically for any politician to do so.

I regret that I neglected my better judgment process to respond to this hate-spew. I am displeased that you would advocate the killing of so many innocent people at the expense of the delusions of grandeur of the Zionist government from a position of such bigoted and unfounded rhetoric.
What you, how ironically, seem to miss is the fact that the Israeli people are just as much at risk by the Netanyahu administration's decisions as the Arabic populations are . . .

Your view ("swallowed up") is a disgusting one but not an isolated one. There are many on both sides of the conflict who hold extremist views that are hateful and bat **** crazy.

As a result, it's really no surprise that there has not been a peaceful resolution to date.

*shrug* what does a country do when people from another are bombarding it with missiles?

Israel has the right to act with force. What happened to Germany in WWII after it bombed Britain? It had its cities destroyed, its military reduced to ash, and Hitler dead.

It's how the world works.

Acceptable in your world maybe. Advocating or supporting genocide of an entire people is certainly not something that will ever be acceptable in mine.

Israel has the right to act with force.

Israel, like any country, has an inherent right of self-defense when it is attacked. At the same time, it has obligations under the Laws of War and other international humanitarian instruments. Those instruments preclude deliberate attacks on civilians, indiscriminate bombardment, genocide, crimes against humanity, etc. That the Hamas terrorist group engages in some of these prohibited acts does not give license to Israel to similarly ignore them.

In other words, Israel has to sit it and take it up the ass?

It's not genocide, it's brutal force. Britain and the U.S didn't outright massacre every last German they could.

That would be an absurd suggestion. As noted previously, Israel has an inherent right of self-defense. Its use of military force against Hamas in Gaza was legitimate.

Naahhh. Your all about destroying worlds populations, and advocating nuclear war. Its well documented here...
