Jasmine Crockett calls Trump a 'piece of s---' during liberal rally

More so the point that Dems wandering in the wilderness, and have opted for sound bites to keep relevant and in the news cycle, because its all they got right now.
They seem to be effective in this day and age of short attention spans and an insatiable desire for social media feedback loops. Their problem is they haven't doubled down on this nor found the messaging that can work. They just need a candidate who just makes things up that resonate with whatever lowest common denominator issue and they might do ok. We have passed the days of serious politicians, so it's an open field right now.

she’s confident that a Democratic candidate will win the 2028 presidential election, and laid out the strategy the party should have to secure that victory.

"But what are we going to need to do then?" she asked. "For me, it’s getting aggressive."

"Now listen, I’m not going to say that’s what we're going to do, but I’m telling y’all what my vision's [going to] be," she continued, pointing to limiting the Supreme Court, which she called "corrupt."

"We need to have some real guardrails around this Supreme Court because the Supreme Court has paved the way for half the stuff that we see that’s going on."

She then used the expletive against Trump but argued that it’s Congress and the high court that need to be reined in because they’re the institutions allowing him to implement his agenda.

"But in a functioning democracy, he still would not be able to get away with this. But he’s been able to get away with this because the House Republicans are complicit. He’s been able to get away with this because Senate Republicans are complicit. But most importantly, the courts, especially the Supreme Court, is complicit," she said.
Annnnnddddd…..?

I don't love all the name-calling during these past couple of presidential cycles, and I don't love the swearing from a public official, but dang. She said what we're all thinking.

That is exactly the justification your opponents would use for the behavior of their candidates.
We can agree to disagree on this.

To me, it’s plain language that people use and understand every day. And when the opponent is already down in the dirt and actually operating there, or behaving as Trump is, I don’t see the harm in saying it directly. Style points mean nothing.

I look at it as a little different way to communicate. And frankly, it’s refreshing to have a little less decorum and a little more kick in the ass. A little more Jasmine Crockett and a little less Chuck Schumer or Hakeem Jeffries.

So what? We already know this is going to end in violence, the only questions being "when" and "who gets the ball rolling."

Sure but the scenario y'all are suggesting leaves no grownups in the room.
How's that grownups in the room thing been working so far?

That train left the station January 6, 2021.
Earlier than that. It was set into motion with the Unitary Executive under Shrub.

Trump(ism) killed the Republic, no doubt; but its last 25 years of leaders have been cannibalizing it for oligarchs, and that means a certain kind of momentum is needed to counteract the death spiral. Instead of the imperial momentum, the leadership of the US hedged their bets and went for a kind of autocratic balkanization, which is the opposite of momentum. It's leaning into the death spiral. And that guaranteed violence.

liberal? sure it wasn’t progressive? maybe socialist? toss in a little Mamdani

Got to disagree with you on the “two Trumps” line. It’s difficult for me to believe there are more people in this country with the combination of bad characteristics that Trump possesses. It goes a heck of a lot further than using crass language. The willing corruption, the greed, the narcissism, the never ending stream of lies, the cheating, the hubris, the cruelty, the racism, the lack of respect for the office, the delusion, the desperation to avoid being tried and sent to prison, and on and on.

I get what you’re saying, and normally I would agree 100%. But the fires need to be extinguished, and in my opinion, we can talk about how proper the methods are at a later time.
Canadians seem to have no problem fighting fire with fire over tariffs.
It should make us wonder when they want DEMs to bend over to trump.

Democrats have been successful (usually) with a mature leader like Obama and Biden.

You're proposing abandoning that for immaturity because the other side does it.

It's a street brawl, Allan. Obama and Biden failed to keep it from becoming the mob fight.

You recognize there's a problem but are not proposing an effective solution.

The democrats need a strong, charismatic leader. Disruptors aren't having an impact so doubling down on that isn't going to get you anywhere.

"They're assholes so we'll be assholes too" isn't the differentiator that will win over independents.

She's smart enough to pass the bar, finance Black Lives Matter activists' cases pro bono with an ambulance chasing law firm, and get elected to the US HoR.

She also has a business degree. Smart woman.

Smart enough to stay out of twat grabbing range of the MAGAT President of the United States of MAGA.

I am proposing letting it all burn down.
