Jan 6 hearings, a fiasco?

And who are they?

Yea I thought so.
Come back when you have an answer.
Rofl...you ask who they are and then automatically write "yeah I thought so" in your same post? How ****ing dumb is that? I literally told you one of them, because he's the chair of the committee. Lol...toddle along now.

Sure. But deleting their call logs? Why would that be right?

I think so. Especially if those logs identify which particular agents were where at any given time. If Agent Robinson were stationed in the Oval at 1400 and reported a movement by the President to the dining room at 1415, I don't think the log that recorded that should be used to make Robinson a target of a subpoena.

If they hid the criminal activity, they are a party to it. I still do not see a case for them erasing their phones. The President's most sensitive communications as President end up with NARA in the archives. I simply do not see justification for SS erasing their phone logs.

I think the President's most sensitive presidential communications are a bit more important than whether he holds it with his left hand or his right hand when taking a pee.

Well, it's a different thing when it comes to protective details. Presidential communications are a vital part of the historical record. The Secret Service are there simply to protect the President. Their role is to see and hear everything, but affect none of it. They need to be invisible as far as the people in the room making the decisions are concerned. Once the people in the room start looking over their shoulders at the guy standing over in the corner, then the conversation starts to become affected. Once the Agent's shift is over, it should be as if it never happened so far as the historical record is concerned.

Not in 2020 the Chairman didn't. Stay on topic.

Besides the objection to the 2004 election result in Ohio was a dead letter box. It was a protest vote. Kerry had already conceded and publicly stated he would not challenge the Bush win in 2004. Now I ask you is that remotely similar to where we were in 2020. NOPE

That is still not more critical than the President's critical communications that end up with NARA. I am not saying those phone logs should be made public. They should not be erased either.

If you get through a shift, and the President is alive and unharmed at the end of it as he was at the beginning, then you've done your job. Nothing else matters. Should be like it never happened.... even if history changed 180° during those few hours.

No matter. There should be no government law enforcement officer erasing his phone. I don't care who he was or what his job. Its ridiculous on its face.

Maybe a CIA officer caught on foreign soil should erase his phone. Thats it.

That's funny. It's always a witch hunt, isn't it.
I didn't say anything about it being a witch hunt. I said that every member on the committee is extremely biased.

You should talk to someone that cares about your pathetic attempt to excuse the act by the chairman of the committee to vote against certifying an election.

I'll tell you why. Because the phone records show Agent Robinson was right next to the President at a crucial juncture. So a Congressional Committee issues him a subpoena to come and testify as to what was said or what the President's state of mind was. Agent Robinson refuses to testify, because that's his duty. All of a sudden Agent Robinson gets made a partisan whipping boy... for just doing his job. He wasn't there to be a potential witness - he was there to protect the President. Pure and simple. Nothing else matters.

When I heard those records were deleted, I smiled. You don't leave your men in the bush.

As an elected officer of the House of Representatives, the Sergeant at Arms is the chief law enforcement and protocol officer of the House of Representatives and is responsible for maintaining order in the House side of the United States Capitol complex. The Sergeant at Arms reviews and implements all issues relating to the safety and security of Members of Congress and the Capitol complex. The Sergeant at Arms also coordinates extensively with the U.S. Capitol Police and various intelligence agencies to assess threats against Members of Congress and the Capitol complex

§78. Duties of Sergeant at Arms

It shall be the duty of the Sergeant at Arms of the House of Representatives to attend the House during its sittings, to maintain order under the direction of the Speaker, and, pending the election of a Speaker or Speaker pro tempore, under the direction of the Clerk, execute the commands of the House and all processes issued by authority thereof, directed to him by the Speaker.

"The United States Capitol Police (USCP) safeguards the Congress, Members of Congress, employees, visitors, and Congressional buildings and grounds from crime, disruption, and terrorism. We protect and secure Congress so it can fulfill its constitutional and legislative responsibilities in a safe, secure and open environment.

The Capital Police do not report to Pelosi.

Like it or not, the Trump 2020 coup will not likely be the last time we face this challenge of an out of control, power mad President breaking the law with every breath he takes. That is disconcerting at least. Then we have the strange case of SS Agent Ornato who went from a job as a SS agent to a Trump political appointee working in the WH. That is just not right and even more than disconcerting. Its actually creepy.

So when I heard about Agent Ornato, I was not smiling at all. Its not quite possible to know who OUR men are any longer. SS agents are not the President's men. They are our employees. Is that so hard to understand?

I don't think SS phone logs should be made public and the committees of congress that should have access would be pretty narrow. We have already had SS agents testify to Congress. A federal court judge in 1998 ordered that Clinton's SS service detail had to testify to a Grand Jury in the Monica Lowinski scandal. So if they have to testify it would appear to me that they have to testify truthfully under oath. As such their phone logs should be available as well.

I don't argue with that... and I imagine a lot of his former colleagues in the Secret Service saw Ornato's actions as a betrayal as well. Not that they'll ever say so. But like I said before... he became WH Deputy Chief of Staff on Dec. 7, 2019. Anything that he did before was as a member of the Secret Service Protective Detail and should be protected.... anything after that is fair game - even when he re-joined the Secret Service (but wasn't on the Protective Detail).

Point being that a direct order from the President would have elicited less banter about uniformed Guardsmen at the Capitol and people snapping to...if not we have more to worry about than we are worrying about
No doubt. A damn shame such a worthless piece of shit was sitting in the Oval Office that day.

Then again, had it been any previous president there’d have been no need for National Guard troops.
not at all an illogical assertion. Illogical based on what?
Trump’s absence of action did not effect the rate of swiftness to respond among those that did finally take action.
And you content that a direct order from the President given in a timely manner would not have elicited a faster response from the Military.
I contend that if Trump did order the National Guard be deployed, it would’ve happened. Quickly

But if an Agent, in the course of his/her protective duties overhears a conversation where the President talks with someone about breaking into the DNC headquarters and doesn't participate in the conversation at all? I think that in that kind of a situation, whatever they see or hear should be kind of a situation, privileged.

Not at all. I just think it is folly to politicize the Secret Service Security Detail. There are plenty of other means to obtain testimony and evidence from people who actually participated in White House meetings. Criminal activities aren't covered by Executive privilege.

Those hearings are meant to brainwash the lunatic frantic left who suffer from TDS.
A hollow positive claim, considering you've admitted you haven't watched the "hearings." See how easy it is to summarily dismiss 'your' unfounded positive claim with 'your' very own words?

The J6 Committee is completely unbiased. Just a group of patriotic Americans willing to ignore all political matters in order to get to the truth of the only insurrection attempt in the history of the US.

(But of course they are entirely biased against whatever criminals are behind the insurrection. Is that what has you upset?)

That's insane.....amazing people can allow themselves to become so blind....incredible.

You watched how many hours of the 1/06/2021 Investigative Committee hearings?

Thank Goodness, I have not become so blind to actually believe the Commission is bipartisan......that is crazy as hell. They become like robots, simply repeat what is typed into their skull.....damn!!

So you have either forgotten how many hours you've watched, or you haven't watched any of the hearings at all, but are making claims about something you haven't seen. Yeah. That makes a buttload of common sense. You were saying something about "becoming so blind"?

How many hours were spent to defend Trump on the Commission?.....is there anyone on the Commission who has even attempted to defend Trump?......but, but, but this is a totally bipartisan committee....lol, right. Keep on destroying the American Way, justice, and simple right and wrong with these "bipartisan" committees, and investigations.....you're digging the hole and don't even realize it.....incredible.

I didn't say it was in 2020.
You don't have a single thing to whine about with regard to Thompson and 2004. You are just throwing shit in the air, hoping it sticks. Getting desperate are you?
