Ivermectin, a nobel winning prize drug that has a clear place is the medical world. Its effectiveness on developed covid 19 strains is disputed by many though its ability to inhibit cov in vitro in documented.

In a time when a disease was worldwide, and their was real panic, real people were given ivermectin by real doctors (thats real people with real phds). It was perfectly reasonable to, especially in a uncertain time, to think that this would help.

Though is become a left leaning obsession of hate just because their arch nemesis Joe Rogan decide to talk about how his doctor gave it to him. Youre argument isnt even that it harms people (youre even saying people take it like aspirin), youre just upset that people that politically disagree with you found a 'possible treatment' before you did.

You can argue that the drug has a rightwing cult status but you can just as easily argue that the left has a cult status of weirdly hating on it, made obvious by their odd, hyperfocus on calling it a horse drug as if its not used on people.

How many were given the vaccine?? and how many doses?

My point isnt even about it being a pure cure, its about the left leaning obsession with hating it on.

I'm sure you take it when diagnosed with covid. Or cancer or whatever. That you still think it's effective against covid says it all. There is no arguing with or persuading the terminally ignorant.

If millions of people were taking it, then it seem not just 'right wing nuts' are interested in its use but people way more qualified that both you and I.

That's 5 years old and looks rather suspicious but im no scientist. Are any doctors in the USA prescribing it for covid? No follow up from 2020?

Why do so many take other illicit drugs not prescribed to them? Why is there an opioid crisis. Self-medication is not a new issue. Many on this board tout marijuana products as a cure all. Some claim they can only get through chemo by lighting up.

I did not get Covid, so I had to take nothing. Had I contracted Covid, I would have only taken what was prescribed. And whatever I am prescribed, I follow the prescribed doses. Best way to avoid overdoses.

There are dozens of studies that are easily accessible. Common conclusions seem to be that, it works better is small doses and doesn't improve with higher dosage, that it appears to possibly to be more effective when combined with other treatments, and that it needs more funding and studying.

I didn't come here to be a poster boy for ivermectin or argue that is that is a cure. I came to argue that it was immediately shunned by left leaning America for its sad fall into a culture war.

I did come here to say the left had no reason to argue against it in the way they did during the days of the pandemic and that it is an actual effective drug with human applications and even possibly as sort of treatment for viral infections like cov.
