Total failure is failure to all degrees. It doesnt matter if you are left, right, green, or anything in between, Obama is the worst failure this country has EVER seen. I had high hopes that he might have something new or good to offer but nothing but catastrophic failure from day one. It is very simple, no matter what your political stance give someone else a chance at the highest office in the land. Even I don't think Romney can screw things up as bad as Obama has. Obama =TOTAL FAILURE
The future of our great country is at hand right now and we have to reverse this downhill spiral we are on.

I'm not voting for Obama and will reluctantly vote for Romney, because any other vote is a vote for Obama.

Having said that, there is absolutely no way I would categorize Obama's presidency as a total failure. That's just partisan bull****.

As a new member, I welcome you. We always need "new blood." But this post? You just couldn't be any more wrong.

Obama made this nation into a dictatorship of the black proletariat over the white man. He shut down all the churches and now the only religion allowed is atheism and hardline jihadist Islam. He nationalized all businesses and outlawed private enterpirse, plus he put the tax rate up to 98%

Obama is doing AWESOME d00000d!!!!!!

Well I guess I missed some of that "good" he has done. Dont get me wrong, I am sure there are some good things done during his presidency(just cant think of any right now) but when you look at the massive 5 trill deficit, 8+ billion from medicare, unemployment, and on and on... All under his admin. I just dont see how he is even getting 30% of the vote at this point.

And you don't really expect any of us to believe that Romney will really do that, do you?

4.5 million jobs is a decent start...

I don't know how you can say that Obama's administration is a total failure.

After all, the stock market has recovered much of it's losses since 2007. The housing market is beginning to stabilize and even rise in some areas. Corporate profits are at their highest in years. And the leader of Al Qaeda who caused the 9/11 attacks was killed.

So yeah, can't say it's a total failure at all.

Already know what we got...I am willing to give someone else a chance.

Can you give some examples of how Obama screwed things up? Keep in mind that Obama is not God and can not fix everything on his own or in a few years. Also keep in mind the massive rate we were losing jobs in this country before Obama came into office. What exactly did Obama do to screw things up?

Compare the number of vetoes Obama has done versus the number of filibusters the Republicans have done and try again.

So you suggest we vote for whom exactly?

Who will "right this wrong?"

When someone makes a sweeping declaration like "total failure", it doesn't advance any kind of discussion. Obviously the president has not been a total failure. You might disagree with some of his positions. You might wish he had been more successful in turning around the economy. But total failure is an obviously false assertion. William Henry Harrison was a total failure, because he was sick for his entire month-long presidency, which ended with his death.

For the most part, the downward spiral HAS been reversed. We are in recovery. We're recovering slowly, but we are recovering. I've heard this "failure" comment many times over the last few years, but seldom with any kind of concrete evidence to back it up, and certainly nothing that is completely objective and transcends partisan positions. The usual answer is that the stimulus was "flushed down the toilet" or "wasted" or simply that it didn't fix the economy like it was supposed to. Not that anyone actually thought it would magically fix the unemployment and the foreclosures and all that. But that it didn't do enough is apparently cited that it was a failure. It did some good, but not enough good... but it was a terrible mistake? I'm confused by that.

"Total failure" is a completely inaccurate characterization. Agree or disagree with his policies all you like. Wish he had done more of what he set out to do. But failure is simply not true.

You mean you DON"T believe it's Obama's mission to completely destroy America and turn it into a communist dictatorship??????????

Jesus man.....you need to catch up.

15% Real Unemployment after 5 trillion spent = FAILURE

You have been brainwashed by a Hope and Change cult

And you think, had McCain been elected, those numbers would be "better"???????

It's possible, though the real culprit wouldn't necessarily by McCain. It would be the cohesive strategy of the Republican party as a whole, that would have followed in the footsteps of Bush's administration, caring only for the needs of the wealthy and starting more wars. McCain might have even tried to address wealth disparity, though his own party would have stopped him from making much real progress. Given the choice between McCain and Romney, however, I would take McCain without a second thought. McCain at least had some personal integrity, and priorities other than the supremacy of the upper classes.

I wanted to add that many GOP politicians who claimed the stimulus was a failure, also asked for stimulus money and brag on how they improved the economy in their district or state.

I don't think we will ever know for sure exactly what impact the stimulus had on preventing more job losses. I am just as sure that it did have some impact as I am that there was also an enormous amount of waste.

What I do know is that government spending under Obama spiked IMMEDIATELY after he took office and there is no end in sight to trillion dollar plus deficits. Government spending in 2008 was just short of 3 trillion. In 2009, Obama's first term, it shot up to about 3.6 trillion and has remained there ever since. It's like we have been living a constant "stimulus" since the day he took office an the results just aren't there. To me this is the clearest possible example of "bigger government" not working.
