If the U.S. finally starts to wage this war on jihadism as it should have started doing twenty years ago, there will be a great many more innocent people killed overseas. No reasonable person can help but regret that fact, but it is not a valid reason not to go after Islamic jihadists hammer and tongs, all over the world.

If monstrously evil people like jihadists are not confronted with force and determination by good people, even if confronting them costs many innocent lives, evil is likely to win the day.
