if people will vote for kamel and tampon they will vote for anything me feels.
"...they will vote for anything..."
I was thinking the same thing. The pubes elected a convicted felon, famous for being a conman, that's admitted to raping people. Is there anything that disqualifies a republican candidate? Apparently, not.

Missed that, when did he do so.

"I'd rather be Russian than Democrat"

never been there. some say things are looking up a little better.

cept if they send you to the russian ukraine front.

but Orange guy will fix that in one day, so not a problem. (not a problem, or did something go wrong, again and again)

thanks

Those "Not Voting" or voting "Third Party" would aid and abet the possible election of a MAGAT successor to KING MAGAT and hence a continuation of MAGAISM and its continued destruction to our Nation.

That being said.

The likelihood of Ms. AOC being elevated to becoming the Democratic Nominee for 2028, while not impossible, is not very likely, perhaps her chance is down the future.

It won't be Trump (duh)

I don't think it will be AOC

I have no idea at this point who it will be, but odds-on favorite would be JD for the Pubs.

AOC is too far to the left on the political spectrum.

I don't want Socialism, nor do I want Fascism.

Something sensible in between the extremes.

Evidently, can you cite the location of it for me?
Why? That's old news, that was easily brushed aside (or, ignored, apparently) by Trump's loyal consumers. If you're not aware of who Trump is, by now, you've chosen to ignore it.

Won't be AOC. At same point in the future, I can see it, but not yet.
Won't be Anybody from NYC. We saw what That got us in 2016.

Got it, you have nothing to back up your claim.

Here we go.

It's 2028 and the presidential nominees are AOC and Trump (or Trump's successor).
Trump is constitutionally ineligible and will be 600 years old.
We know the policy agenda, we know the messaging.
Do we? How can we possibly know those things without knowing what's been in the news or who the candidates are. You aren't even going to name a Republican candidate in this hypothetical? Just...AOC versus the field?
The table is set. Pick your candidate.
For right now I'm thinking Josh Shapiro, Tim Walz, or Andy Beshear. I previously would have also named Gretchen Whitmer or Jared Polis, but they've both fallen a bit in my estimation in the last few months. But we are four years out so a lot can change.

It's a popularity contest, and AOC is way more popular than any of the above. I think it will be either Harris or AOC.

But we are four years out so a lot can change.

They start campaigning 18 to 24 months before election day. If we go with 18 months, that puts it at may 2027, or just under 2 years away until the whole shitshow begins again.

If the DNC is smart they will not nominate anyone other than a straight white male to run for POTUS.

Won 2028 be the year of the transman?

AOC is not my first choice, but she's a smart politician, has made pragmatic alliances with the center in the Democratic Party and is the successor to Bernie Sanders. I'm willing to compromise. :)

Trump's successor without a doubt. It will be worse than Kamala Harris if the democrats nominate AOC, plus it will be surprising to see if the DNC even permits its constituents to even vote for their nominee.

It's sad the left has gone so far they would pick a communist instigator for their pick.

Doesn't matter who the opponent is, vote against MAGA as they are anti American scum

Harris is not popular. AOC has legit won over Trump voters, something a moderate centrist could never do.

People either want to win or they want to lose in order to maintain the status quo. I think Democrats are born losers, as a political party. Their only hope is the utterly dismiss the @Gatsby voter and force them into the situation that they've been forcing progressives since 2000+. Some people (like Gatsby) will break towards the right, and some will break towards the left. The Democratic Base is more important than the voters they'd lose by turning towards a candidate like AOC.

The Gatsby Voter thinks they are the center of the party. They are not.

The "Constitution".

Do we? How can we possibly know those things without knowing what's been in the news or who the candidates are.

What will change? AOC has an agenda, and the Republicans have an agenda.

You aren't even going to name a Republican candidate in this hypothetical? Just...AOC versus the field?

I know, you're itching to find a palatable Republican, like most neolib, right-leaning Democrats.

Tim Walz is pretty much in line with AOC. She's just better at messaging, media, fund-raising, etc.

I'd have no objection to AOC running on a Tim Walz type of platform. Some politicians can pull off such a rebranding over the span of the 3-4 years she'll have to prepare, and she's definitely the most pragmatic member of The Squad.

Of course, if she actually did the things that would be required to pull off that political transformation, you would call her a sellout. :(

I'm holding out hope for a less dystopian future.

Harris is not popular.

She got 75 million votes. She also has 15 million X followers, which I believe is more than AOC.

I agree. The democratic party has nowhere to go but further left.

Leftist ideas are terrible, but they are very attractive to the typical idiot voter.

Here are the Cook PVI scores for the congressional districts of current Squad members and DSA members:
NY-14 (AOC): D+19
MN-5 (Omar): D+32
MA-7 (Pressley): D+34
MI-12 (Tlaib): D+21
TX-35 (Casar): D+19

What is your political hypothesis for why socialists only seem to win elections in districts that look like this, if they represent the mainstream of the American electorate?
