Liberal Zionism has to make constant intellectual and moral compromises with liberalism as a belief system, because very quickly it runs into situations where Zionism is incompatible with liberalism. Qassam rocket bodies were irrigation piping allowed into Gaza...

A better comparison is probably the US circa 1876.

It's not actually my claim but the fact is that the rogue Israeli state is the nearest thing to Nazi Germany we have in the world today in both ideology and action.
