Israel is a very small country surrounded by enormous Arab states determined to wipe it off the map. in addition it is a democracy. For these any many other reasons Any comparison with Nazi Germany falls flat. I hope that Israel continues to successfully defend itself.

Have you spent the last 77 years speaking out against the continuous attempts by Arab nations to wipe Israel and the Jewish people from the face of the earth? Did you cry out for Arab nations to stop the aggression against Israel? Or do you only care now that Israel has managed to win conflict after conflict and fight off every attempt by Arab nations and their terrorists proxies to destroy Israel?

The creation of the current state of Israel is based on historic aggression to the people who inhabited what is now Israel - however there are two historical elements to remember:
The Zionists who planned an "Israel" in the 19th Century tried to peacefully buy the land from the Turkish Sultan who owned it. History would be very different if he had agreed.
The new state of Israel has been attacked many times by neighbouring arab nations who lost each time and lost territory. There is internal aggression going on which is part of your next quoted comment

Internally, the more right wing elements of the Israeli Govt in the past 50+ years have continuously expanded internal Israeli "Lebensraum" to try and recreate "Greater Israel." The people in the way of that plan are the arabs of the West Bank and Gaza.
It's a matter of time basically, people have said here that Israel will not annexe the West Bank as it means having to give the vote to millions of arabs so we are basically seeing a very slow encroachment with settlements and land-grabs.
I don't believe Israel intends to expand beyond the original bounds of "Greater Israel."

And to recreate "Greater Israel" you will see continued slow genocide and attempts to remove the arabs from Gaza and the West Bank. A lot of that depends on a very supportive US President and we have that with Trump at the moment so the ethno-supremacist tendencies are more out in the open than usual.

So for me, the overarching aim to recreate Greater Israel is happening before our eyes. Western / Liberal hand-wringing is not going to stop it happening and protests against deliberate starvation of the citizens of Gaza will not prevent the Govt of Israel continuing down this path.

I'm going to put it at another 50-100 years before all arabs in Gaza and the West Bank have been removed, wiped out or cleansed. Israel is just being careful not to be as obvious as nazi-Germany and put arabs in shuttered trains and dumped in camps that have no exit.
For some in the Govt - this internal expansion is by design and for others it is a byproduct of the wars and conflicts we have seen.

The problem isn't that Israel killed some evil people in a nation that *does* pose an existential threat to it. The problem is that Trump is a narcissistic moron who ripped up Obama's deal, which was working, allowing Iran to go crazy with enrichment, thus creating a need to produce a new deal. The second problem is then that Israel struck in the midst of negotiations and apparently intends to keep striking, which could quite easily blow the whole region up into war. The third problem is motivation: Bibi almost certainly was happy to do it to create further conflict to use as an excuse to stay in power, seeing as other hard right Israeli parties were gearing up to break with Likud and force elections. The fourth problem is that Iran knows it can't use nukes on Israel without Israel's allies presumably nuking Iran (though, from Israel's perspective, it's not much of a comfort to know that at least Iran would be nuked after it).

The problem is decidedly not that it was somehow an unfair surprise for the Iranians, whose government is evil. Iran has fought Israel through proxies from the moment of its creation.

Because a war against a terrorist organization, also the government of Gaza, that has always done its best to murder Jews and just murdered over a thousand of them, in which 54,000 people - a mix of civilians and Hamas fighters - is exactly the same as a mechanized extermination of 6,000,000 people (all civilians) who didn't attack anyone, based on pure religious/ethnic hatred, millions more in other countries through allies, while launching a war that gets tens of millions killed (ie, 20m Russian soldiers)....




Tell me your moral statements are worthless without telling me your moral statements are worthless.

What is it? Is it not satisfying enough to condemn Israel for going way beyond what it has a duty to do in Gaza in multiple ways (no proportionality in strikes, intentionally not attempting workable supply chains for aid, etc)? To condemn Trump/Bibi starting to talk about simply herding Palestinians into an even smaller space and stealing the land? You just have to overreach for the biggest baddest thing you can think of?

Hamas are Nazis? No response.

Iran are Nazis? No response.

Iran poses a threat of influence in the region. If it was allowed peace and integration (it's rightful state compared to Israel's artifical settler-colonial presence), it would grow and forge alliances, and Israel wouldn't be able to spread its Western affiliated influence in the region. That's why Israel attacks Iran, and why the US facilitates it. They want Iran to be subservient and/or to be a glorified gas tank, like the Saudis and pre-revolution Iran.

Iran hasn't aggressively attacked another nation in over 200 years. Before then, you'd have to look to 300 Spartans vs. the Persian army under Xerxes.

Meanwhile you'd have to reset the non-aggression clock every 5 minutes with Israel.


Is Israel evil? Why or why not? The majority of the population is pro-genocide, and the leaders are even worse.

Iran protects its interests, like any nation. Israel is the aggressor at every turn.

Egypt and Jordan want to wipe Israel off the map? Since when? They’ve been at peace since Israel was forced out of their land.

Lebanon is “enormous”? According to who?

Syria doesn’t even exert control over their own borders. How are they going to “wipe someone off the map”?
 
Contrary to Israel’s claims, Palestinians existing is not “aggression” against them.

A better comparison is probably the US circa 1876.

A country dead set on colonizing its surrounding areas, with a religious belief that the people already living there are “inferior”, a willingness to commit just about any atrocity in the name of securing their control over the land, and extreme aggression towards any country that dares speak out against it.
 
If you bothered to study the history, the violence in the area was begun by the Arabs.
