Israel Fears ICC to Issue Arrest Warrants for Netanyahu, Other Top Officials

Give me a scenario where the US govt should take action against a US citizen who has worked as part of the International Criminal Court.
You asked if the US "can", not if it "should".

The answer to "can" is "yes".

Someone with an ICC arrest warrant who visits the UK will be arested.
It doesn't matter who they are and I highly doubt the security of the person involved are willing to start a gunfight at a UK airport to stop the process.
Will be arrested or should be?

Will be arrested or should be?

Will be.
They will meet however it is as they leave the aircraft.
They will have been warned that it's about to happen so they'll have a simple choice.
Land and be arrested or go elsewhere, there's no right to enter the UK and not face the law.

I'd like to see the UK, or any other state, really,, try to arrest another head of government.
Especially the Israeli PM.

In the UK, not that hard.

As the Israeli PM leaves the plane and faces UK security personnel do you really think Israelis guards are going to shoot UK police at the airport?

In a second.

They can simply be refused entry into the country if it comes to that.
Do you think the UK PM can just pop over to the US if they're charged with serious crimes and expect to just walk about as if everything is fine?

Do you honestly think the protection services of a head of state are going to try to stop the police of a foreign country on their own soil from arresting a head of state if that's what they feel they have to do?

Again, they will have been warned that they're about to be arrested it won't come as a shock and I have a feeling the press would be swarming all over the place to make sure mistakes by anyone are recorded.

The aircraft will be surrounded by police and maybe even the military.
I don't think anyone would start shooting as it would be a huge bloodbath and nobody would come out of it in a good light.

The only option would be to not land in the UK and not start an international cluster**** of epic proportions.

Quite an international incident.
Good luck.

Yes, because maybe 50 isreali security personel can fight it out with the entire London armed police.

The worst that would happen is there would be a super tense stand-off and maybe them retreating into the plane for a while before flying away or giving up and handing over the PM for arrest.

I would say the same for a UK PM in the US if they're under a super important arrest warrant.

Do you think a head of state can somehow just barge in and land in a country that's barred him admission?

What would you expect to happen if the UK PM decided to try and visit the US after he was specifically told he can't?

Quite an international incident.

Exactly, which is why Netanyahu will not visit any country that might arrest him.

Israel won't want to kill British police and create the international incident that would severely harm Israeli interests

The British won't arrest the war criminal because the US won't like it and our Government is a vassal of America, they arrested that fascist killer Pinochet then let him go.

If the Israeli PM landed in the UK, then they would be under the jurisdiction of the laws of the UK.

That means that they could be arrested pursuant to the laws of the UK.

What do you think that Israel would do if the Israeli PM landed in the UK and was arrested pursuant to the laws of the UK - nuke the UK? Or maybe - gather up the entire IDF and invade the UK?

I'm going say Israel and Netanyahu are doing the right thing for the most part.

Israeli security forces rescued four hostages during a daytime raid in central Gaza on Saturday, including Noa Argamani, who became the face of the hostages taken on Oct. 7 after harrowing video of her abduction was seen around the world.

How would they "enforce it?"

Are there warrants for HAMAS leadership also? Just wondering.
Yes:
EU sanctions against Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad consist of: a travel ban for individuals. an asset freeze for individuals, groups and entities. a prohibition on making funds or economic resources available to those listed.

The cons are throwing a temper tantrum in this thread. They're claiming that their hero, a corrupt asswipe (Bibi) is being persecuted but Hamas is given a pass. Even when shown evidence that Hamas is classified as a terrorist organization and that countries that fund them have sanctions on them, they dismiss it.

There's no arguing with today's conservative. They live in a sewer of alternative facts.

Israeli officials are now concerned an international arrest warrant will soon be issued by the International Criminal Court for the arrest of Netanyhau:

I’m all eyes and ears. Will justice prevail?

You are wrong member states are obligated to extradite a person.

Duty to cooperate: Under the Rome Statute, member states are obliged to cooperate fully with the ICC. This means that they must comply with ICC decisions and judgments, including the extradition of persons to the ICC facility in The Hague.

Extradition when convicted: If a person has been convicted by the ICC and is in a member state, the ICC may request that the person be extradited to serve their sentence. The member states must then cooperate and hand over the convicted person to the ICC.

Extradition of indicted persons: If a person is indicted by the ICC and is in a member state, the ICC may request that person be extradited to stand trial. The member states must then cooperate and hand over the accused to the ICC for trial.

Exceptions: However, there are some exceptions. Some countries may refuse to extradite people if it is against their national law or if there are special circumstances that make extradition inappropriate. However, the ICC may request additional information or explanations from the country concerned.
Yes, Julian Assange has won the right to appeal America's demand for his extradition to the US.
