Stupid ass Republicans.

And now things start shutting down again.

Certainly not in my town.

The truth is that generally the populations of the UK and USA have not locked down properly...in the long run , if herd immunity works out, it could be a good thing and countries like Germany could have the biggest problems.

Do you honestly believe the whole world is doing some kind of hoax? Someone actually believes these are just actors we see in the hospital lying in ICU.

But we should not be surprised as there are some who think the Sand Hook elementary shooting was all done by actors. They got the teachers, police, medical, and parents in on this big fake.

And now the evil Democrats have got the whole world in on it, just to hurt Trump!

Well, except to the tons more dead Americans.

There is a long term "game" here, that may be more important than the short term one.

It's not long term to the dead Americans.

Now, are you good at math? If not then the questions I'm getting ready to ask you are a waste of time.

Well, except to the tons more dead Americans.

This virus is going to keep coming back so , imo, herd immunity is vital (assuming there is such a thing). We've seen that as soon as you loosen lock down it pops up again so we had just as well bite the bullet, keep the vulnerable sfe, and get on with things. We can't lock down forever...I haven't worked for 12 weeks now, and I'm getting fat lol...which apparently lowers my immunity...

You may very well be wrong about Florida. The recent surges have only been in the past week or so. The hospitals won't see them for another 2-3 weeks. I think you may be celebrating a bit soon. Time will tell. This goes for Arizona and Texas also.
Of course you do, because that is the political narrative. Science says otherwise. All you have to see is one fact, deaths per million population.

Where do those school children go every day when they get out of school? Did you ever consider these moves are taken to protect other people in their lives. One large breakout in a school that may not get the kids sick, may have devastating effects on the surrounding community.
:spin:

At this point, it's all about prevention with the few tools we currently have. You need to use a little common sense and have some compassion for your fellow man.
A little common sense would have implemented a measured approach in March and April. Masks make sense. Lock downs do not.

Since you have chosen to disregard science and common sense, what are you basing this upon?

Well if more die in a second wave than die in the first it could be that herd immunity should have been used in the battle against this disease...that's simple maths for you.

Well, your plan seems okay until a vaccine is developed. Then all it did was let a ton of people die up front that shouldn't have.

Are you pro life?

Again, are you good at math?

Sweden has 50% more death/population compared to the US. Compared to similar countries, Sweden's results are terrible and getting worse. Norway is 46 deaths per million. Sweden is 523. That's more than ten times Norway's death/pop. You can't claim 523 is not a terrible outcome compared to 46. It is very terrible in comparison.
You destroyed your own argument. 523 per million is a 99.947% survival rate. You did get one thing right, that you cannot claim 523 per million is a terrible outcome. It's a very reasonable one considering the cost of a lock down.

Your last sentence is the one that makes no sense. Give up political spin and look at facts.

Leaving the cult math aside, Sweden is being excluded from EU travel agreements. That is devastating to Sweden's economy and a direct result of lax policy.

Is Covid hysteria a kind of hoax?

Irrational fears have driven government officials and American citizens to enforce bad policies which have served to make the damage done by the virus even worse. For example, those who ordered infected patients to be moved from hospitals into rest homes increased the numbers of people dying from the disease exponentially. Shutting down businesses for months and restricting people's contacts in public is a theory without verified scientific foundation and has proven to be something of a wasted effort as demonstrated in the ongoing mass protests of BLM and antifa gatherings.

You have no idea what you're saying

I have offered knowledge I have besides this suggestion about Eucharist ..and no idea y you mention receiving Communion. Only Catholics not in mortal sin can receive. But anyone can go to a Catholic church or chapel and be in the Lord's Presence

I mentioned 'Communion' because it was you that inserted it into your comment. "Physically Present in the Eucharist (consecrated host)"

I'm sorry to say this, but you're postulating in a public forum that's unaffiliated with any particular religious lean, to people who may live anywhere around the world, preaching a doctrine to which you subscribe, and advising someone who is extremely ill and may have Covid-19, to take up the mantel of your own personal beliefs. And you don't see anything that could possibly be offensive to that person or perhaps even distasteful because that person may not be Catholic? Maybe they're Protestant, Evangelical, Jewish, or Hindu, Islam, Wiccan or agnostic. How do you imagine these people will receive your lecturing about what they should believe spiritually?

Whatever gets you through the day and whatever sustains you spiritually, it's your choice, your beliefs, your business. It's not very smart to sermon people about the Eucharist or school them about 'mortal sin' or who is worthy or not of receiving communion. It just smacks of arrogance and self-righteousness.

You throw this out as if the lockdown was not already devastating to economies in the other countries.

I like the cult math line, because cult-think to say that Sweden has not fully justified its decision to not self inflict harm. Real math proves it. New York has three times as many deaths per million as Sweden, 1618.4 vs 518.5 in today's numbers.

You never quit giving the party line, even when it makes no sense.

Is Covid hysteria a kind of hoax?
A hoax in that, its effects are equally deadly for all and required economies to shutdown or massive actions by the public.
And, not as it is in fact, a serious issue for sick elderly people.

I will tell you, it's the event of the year which highlights there are lies, damn lies & statistics.

People go around looking at Sweden who didn't lockdown and overreact, then still compare by deaths per 100,000.

Here is a tally by, age (notice anything):
• Sweden: coronavirus deaths by age | Statista

I wonder though when looking at these bigger population countries by positive tests, would it matter, America:
has 20% less of the population over 65, and 10% more youth.

Or Brazil has,
has 60% less of the population over 65, and 36% more youth.

...as Republican and Southern states now see spikes, delay openings and the Republican VP tells people to start wearing masks.

your game is tired.

I wonder, how much more likely as a vulnerable person you were do die in Democratic-run hotspots? It measured by factors, so 'spikes' indeed. It called not killing the most vulnerable.
