Is the Republican party becoming too extreme and turning off moderate voters? It seems like the most pro Trump candidates lost the biggest in the midterms.
Aspects of the republican party, major aspects, are absolutely becoming so and are even turning off and turning out members of their own party.

I happen to agree with the chant "Lock her up!" The hilabeast is one of the sleaziest and most politicians in this nation's history.
You need to tell someone who cares what you say and believe. Indeed there are other PutinTrumpRowers besides yourself who you can commiserate with.

Because my post is about retired Admiral Mike Mullen the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs calling Flynn after he led his Republican raging rant to advise the 3-star it was political conduct unbecoming a retired general officer. And that Flynn (in his political madness) was inconsistent with the laws and norms of civil-military relations in the USA. So Flynn is on notice already and since then.

Yet Flynn only got worse of course, advocating the armed forces seize voting machines in blue states to rerun the 2020 election to get the outcome Putin was demanding. Of course the armed forces would never ever do that or any such thing, as Flynn, Trump and Putin found out harshly behind the scenes.

As retired career military Flynn draws retirement PAY and is subject to the UCMJ and instant recall. He's a lieutenant general retired, ie, Flynn is still a LtGen. Pearl Harbor In WW II MacArthur was retired in the Philippines when Potus Roosevelt recalled him within hours and placed him in command of US forces in the Pacific, the former Army chief of staff MacArthur was.

The Biden Pentagon will bust Flynn when the time comes. It can't have general officers on its payroll going around as Flynn does without consequence. Flynn will pay, it's a matter of timing. He'd be fortunate to lose only his pay and benefits because he's also going to be busted. Corporal Flynn. Same as another notorious corporal.

Yawn.... You care what I believe as you are responding.
I'm posting to the board.

You are just another Rower.

So keep the line moving plse thx because I have no interest in your variations of the SOS. I'm posting for the American ongoing experiment in democracy, not about what you think or believe individually.

Ward Cleaver was banging his secretary, while June was having an affair with a woman in her book club, Wally was tapping the liquor cabinet & may have knocked up the girl down the street, while Beaver was busy making models, using an unusual amount of airplane glue.
I'm going to assume that your attempt at a point here is using make believe characters behaviors as smoke screen to silence valid criticism against the Marxist views expressed by BLM? Now point me to the part where all those actions and behaviors are specifically stated as a goal to achieve by policy, and then you'll actually have a point.

A fictional look inside a fictional average '50's family unit. Point attempted being that not much has really changed as far as families, there were just as many dysfunctional families then as now.

Of course you don't. Crime, inflation and open borders are not in line with the far left agenda.

If those things were as bad as you say they are, why was there no red wave?

If you want to talk about fiction, then go make a fan fiction blog post about it go do that. I'm talking about reality.

So they are in line with the far right agenda?

I don't think so. I think the average rightwinger supports that stuff, not just the far right.

This stupid thread!!! It is not Republicans that are too extreme...... its Democrats!!!

Right now Democrat elected politicians viewpoints range from weird to outright insane and these crazy bastards seem hell bent on destroying the U.S!!!

Then why was there no red wave?

Basically the Hillary campaign got a slap on the hand. that amount of money in the fines is nothing.
Which means the Democrats, their allies in the left leaning federal bureaucracy, as well as their political propaganda accomplices in the media, will conjure up yet another 'Steel Dossier' against their political opponents, not having been deterred, or at least not sufficiently deterred.

This opens up for other political campaigns to do the same, fabricate shit, stuff it up the federal bureaucracy often enough that they can't ignore it and are compelled to act on it, to create great division in the populace over nothing more than politically motivated fabrications.

<SIGH> All rather discouraging.

Then why was there no red wave?
Republicans took the house....that's all that matters and will shut down much of the stupid shit coming out of the Biden administration.

Why didn't they take the Senate?

Why didn't they take the House by a huge margin?

This stupid thread!!! It is not Republicans that are too extreme...... its Democrats!!!
Democrats rarely use triple exclamation points, especially twice in a row.

Therefore it is the Republicans who are too extreme!!

Something perhaps from this decade? The media of the Iraq War was left leaning, only now to have become raging hard left, near extemists.

That's a distortion. The point wasn't about ideology, but the common sense that the media with more viewers has more opportunities to influence views.
Or does such simple common sense escape you?

I have my own criticisms, as you can no doubt tell from my posts.

'mainstream conservative media' the term you are using to include all non-leftist media?

Meh.

'working the refs'. The clear and obvious 'working the refs' is form the left media, who are wanting to shift the entire nation to follow their lead to the every more extremist left.
The right hasn't move all that much from their right leaning starting point.

Not a claim which I've made. You you want to argue against the strawmen arguments which you construct, you don't need my participation, I figure you can do that all on your own.

Not really, when compared to the left wing media.

Generally the case for all media.

I'm not in favor of putting some sort of government body to control the press and free speech.

Unlike the left. Take for example Biden's administrative leftist radicals and their 'Disinformation Governance Board'. Yes disbanded, but hasn't slowed down DHS or their initiatives in the same pursuit any.

No, I do not. Government takes on many things they should not be involved in, and the media is one of them.
Yet, there is evidence that the federal government and Big Tech social media platforms colluded to sensor that which didn't align with their political ideology (see Joe Rogan's Zuckerberg interview in which Zuck relates FBI collusion to censor).

Yet more strawman arguments from you? That's at least 2 arguments you can have with yourself.

How many more left wing media distortions are you going to list? Just asking. You've listed quite a few already. I'm just wondering how many more you've got on a list someplace.

So media bias is such a huge problem, but you have no actual solutions for it, you just want to whine and complain? Big surprise.

I think conservatives want to talk about the media so much because they can't defend their own record, so they have to deflect. The so-called liberal said there would be a red wave if it didn't happen, its the GOP's fault, no one else's.

Media bias is not the topic of this thread, you can start your own thread about that if you like. The topic is if the GOP is too extreme for moderate voters or not, you can answer that without deflecting?

The more people realize it, the more people will continue to watch the biased lame stream media destroy its credibility with the people.
The more that it is raised as an issue, a problem, such as you yourself have admitted, raises this awareness.

'no actual solutions for it'. What have you proposed? Reinstitution of the 'fairness doctrine'?

I'm not a proponent of government getting involved in anything which isn't specifically outlined in the Constitution, much less interfering in, or influencing freedom of the press or freedom of speech. To me, that happening would be a death knell for the US and it's Democratic Republic.

I guess that would depend on if that record were established by medias biased accusations and sensationalized one-sided coverage, or if someone looks a bit deeper into the issues, or not.

If based only on medias biased accusations and sensationalized one-sided coverage, sure, the impression would be as you've described. If not so, then I rather doubt it.

Do please point out a post from me bemoaning that the lack of a red wave is the fault of the politically biased lame stream media. I have not supported those who have claimed such, and I have not made such claims myself. 🤷‍♂️

Might I remind you that pointing out, calling out, politically biased media can be a completely separate thing from those red wave things.

"Is the Republican party becoming too extreme and turning off moderate voters?"
Nope. Just the impression left by the falsely made out to be as extremists by the medias politically driven biased accusations and sensationalized one-sided coverage.

But whatever. Seems the only common ground we've found in our exchange is that the mainstream media is in fact politically biased and politically one-sided coverage in its coverage and handling. On that I would agree with you.

All you do is complain about it. That's not a solution. I don't think anyone who just complains and offers no real solutions has a position that is worth respecting.

So why all this talk about the media then? If its the GOP's job to convince people to vote for them and they didn't do it, maybe that should be the actual topic of conversation?
"Is the Republican party becoming too extreme and turning off moderate voters?"
Nope. Just the impression left by the falsely made out to be as extremists by the medias politically driven biased accusations and sensationalized one-sided coverage.

So why are so many Republicans running away from their previous pro-life stances and scrubbing them from their social media?

If I post a link to that will you just claim that the story is biased and thus I shouldn't waste my time?

I think we disagree on who it's biased towards, which is a big difference.
