Is the President YOUR President?
I occasionally hear people say, "President <insert name here> is not MY President!" Usually by people who intensely dislike the current President. To me, this places party loyalty, and to a lesser extent ideology, above country.
Have you ever had such sentiments?
to say that someone from the other party is "not your President" is to elevate your partisan affiliation over your national affiliation. If that is your order of precedence, then that means you would be willing to harm the country in order to help your party
Maybe I should have waited until later?VERY key phrase here. Something I have said many times at DP. Let's see how many people demonstrate that they prefer party over country.

Nah. People will still show up and make silly excuses over why supporting one's party over one's country really isn't supporting one's party over country. Wouldn't matter when you posted what you did.
Then the power of shame really is dead.

Fortunately, we have a series of checks and balances when the POTUS steps out of line and becomes someone elses president.
I didn't vote for the MoFo so I don't see him as 'my' president. Nor do I see the bluer parts of this land being 'my' country.
Plus I'm assured the 'other' side feels the same way.
Sorry but 'we' are currently a divided land.
President Obama will be the President of the USA until another Democrat takes his place.
Anyone who's not happy in the USA will always find that the entrances to the exits are wide open.
Deal with it.
