EVERYWHERE you look, you now see the Left pimping Ted Cruz as "The Man Who Could Win It All", but is it ONLY because they see Trump holding a staggering, seemingly unshakable if not unbelievable lead in the polls?

Yahoo is currently running a very lengthy "journalist endorsement" of Cruz designed to do nothing more than smear Trump.

The Left doesn't love Cruz, apparently they are using him. And even if they did, that would not be a good thing for those on the right.

IS all of this evidence of the extent to which the Left FEARS DONALD TRUMP and just the beginning of how far they will go to smear him?

If i was running the Dems i would be all for helping Trump get nominated. The during the election I would get him in front of a microphone as often as possible. The Dems could run Homer Simpson and he could not match the catoonishness of the Donald. I really don't believe the left has declared war at all. He might be the best thing that could happen to them.

The Left "fears Trump"???? Dude, we WANT him to get the GOP nomination! We WANT him to show the nation and the world what has become of the GOP. Oh, I don't think we'd get the degree of a victory that, say, Reagan got over Mondale back in '84, but it would be a Democratic landslide nonetheless.

Do you not realize that in 2012, Romney roughly equaled the best performance by any GOP candidate ever in attracting the white vote...and still lost resoundingly. The Right has essentially abandoned the minorities...and if Hillary can attract a greater percentage of whites than Obama did...dude, we are looking at a landslide.

And of course once that happens, the pundits on the Right will all start claiming massive voter fraud, even though there will be virtually zero evidence of such.

I believe Rudy Giuliani had an insurmountable lead at this point in 2008.

Quoted for truth!

I predicted Ted Cruz would be the nominee for a year and a half already. He is what the Republican base is. He represents them the best. They will reject another establishment candidate, and go for the fascist in lieu of a traditional conservative. You can see it in the rhetoric.

Yeah...I think the Democrats are worried...and not just about Trump, but about all the Republican candidates. The way Hillary is going, she will have trouble against any of them, but Trump is a bigger problem for her than Cruz. So, that's who they are pimping.

Don't worry...if Cruz gets the nomination, I'm betting they have their gameplan against him already lined up.

Everywhere???

What?

I don't see any such thing anywhere, let alone everywhere.

I am pretty sure the Left would love Trump to win the nomination. Yes, Hillary is having some trouble which is why they would prefer her to go up against a self destructive candidate like Trump. Now, I can see why the RIGHT might be concerned about Trump.

The Left have now pulled out all the stops against Trump. I think it's a sign that they know Hillary can't win. Whoever the GOP selects is going to clobber her. So the terrified Left are now desperately trying to keep Trump at bay, by looking for any way they can to pick at him. I think they'll be petitioning for Mitt Romney to return to the campaign trail, soon.

Really? You sure it isnt the less crazy Republicans cutting of the funding?

I think the left would like nothing better than Trump winning the nomination.

Democrats definitely want Trump to be the nomination. He alienates just about the entire country with the exception of a relatively weak base of hard right voters. Overlooking all minority voters and most women is not the way to win an election.

He's not going to win the nomination, you can bet money on it.

But no, there's no so much a war by the left against Donald Trump as there is a war by Donald Trump being waged against facts.

Anyone with two functioning neurons should fear a Trump Presidency. At best it'd be 4 years of stagnation because half of what he suggests cannot be done either on pragmatic or Constitutional grounds. At worst.....well I'd rather not consider how bad a Trump Presidency could really be.

Trump certainly doesn't keep "The Left" wanting for things to "pick at." He's a clown.

Yes, they fear trump because he's the only one in the crowd that would stand a chance against Hilary. And once the vote rigging machines come into play, it would still take a landslide to keep Hilary out of the whitehouse.

Lets see. It is a year early, your candidates are flawed by anyone's standards, Trump is a caricature of a politician. Already talking about voter fraud? Com'on man.

Oh, that's the default every election.

Here's the thing, exit polls used to be the best indication for early results, it was 3 elections ago where that ceased to be the case. The big reason why, that's around the time the electronic voting machines were implemented widely.

The vote rigging can only swing the votes about 10% before it becomes too obvious.

Oh, you get me wrong, I'm not a real fan of trump... I still see it as a 20% chance that he's a ringer for Clinton. However, it was a 95% chance that Jeb was going to be a lame horse against Clinton. However, realistically speaking, the only way it's not hillary is trump with a landslide.
