Is the election slipping away from the GOP with nothing but fear and negativity coming from trump and vance?

Its beyond on me on how this race is even close....Trump and Vance are both completely imcompetent. I am having a hard time believing the polls, they over did it on both Biden and Clinton but this just seems different. N.C crowds selling out, GA coming out, top Republicans endorsing Harris, and Trumps complete dumpster fire on display at the debate. A LOT of things would have to go wrong for Harris not to win in November.

It’s close because Harris isn’t a strong candidate.
 
Remember, Donald Trump truly believes that the only way he can lose the election is if the other side "steals" it from him. The logical extrapolation of this kind of thinking is that, "stolen" election aside, in Donald Trump's mind, he's already won the election. One can extrapolate further, then, that Donald Trump does not believe that he needs to win any additional votes, nor do any campaigning, nor worry even in the slightest about any self-imposed threats to his victory. After all, the victory is already his ("unless they cheat").

So, if the election is slipping away from Donald, he's mentally, emotionally, cognitively incapable of being aware of it.

If things are trending away from him, I'd hate to be one of his campaign staff who know they can never confront Donald Trump about his need to appeal to more voters, when in his nutty head he's already won. So, instead he'll once again be surrounded by a bunch of "yes men" (and women) who will tell him how wonderful he is doing, right up through election night.

Really? trump is a convicted felon facing many more charges and jail where he belongs. So tell me more about your "strong" candidate.

He's losing support EVERY day.

There aren't enough Trump Cultists to get him elected.

The reality is:
• There are lots of Republican partisans, who cannot stand the idea of voting for a Democrat
• There's a lot of White Male Grievance among US voters
• Republicans have spent years on a full court press to block minority votes, in part because they tend to vote for Democrats, and in part because they're not White
• There's a lot of people who just don't care enough about politics to follow the daily Trump disasters, and won't make up their minds until the last minute

Why do they have him for a candidate though. Why was he not impeached.
Right wing media supported him and lied for him, no matter how low he went. Republicans in power, supported and lied for him, no matter how low he went.
Right wing appointed Judges (Cannon in particular, SCOTUS too), helped delay and cover for him as he faced a mountain of felony charges....
Even MAGA on this forum refuse to condemn Trump seriously, and lie for him, and push the propaganda.

It's the party leaders, it's the party voters, it's the party media machine, not Trump.

You folks really need to get past this reflex that has you thinking anything said less than positive about Harris can only be a statement in support of Trump. It's rather mindless.

Well, if Democrats are any judge, go with any of the 2020 candidates (save Joe Biden) that made it to the Iowa Caucuses. You may recall Democrats didn't even like Kamala enough to get her that far.

I gave up on the GOP some time ago. so you'll need to find a Republican to ask. And Trump was impeached, twice. He just wasn't convicted in the Senate either time.

I have seen him n many debates. I have never seen him so completely defeated. Nothing comes close. His first 2020 debate with Biden was bad but it was bad because he wouldn’t shut up.

This one was different. She wrapped him around her finger and said, “dance.”

It is hard to imagine anyone else being better.

And this is just the debate. She is moving, campaigning, and coordinating a serious ground game along with great fundraising.

You are wrong.
