A big win for the Democrats is holding onto a 50/50 tie and only losing 25ish seats in the House.

That's the bottom not falling out. It could be much worse and the spread of the generic ballot suggests that it will be.

Anyone that has paid attention to politics for any length of time recognizes that almost certainly, the party in power loses a lot of seats in the midterms.

If the DNC manages to hold the Senate and only lose in the House…that’s more a reflection that the GOP couldn’t come up with decent candidates than anything the DNC has done wrong.
