Hardly. I didn't see any mention of his work on prison reform, his numerous awards and citations from black organizations or his work to boost HBCUs (historically black colleges and universities). Or his efforts to eliminate Whites Only restrictions in Florida.

Probably because they are all so tepid. It is interesting to note that when he received his award and Bennett College, the students were put on lockdown. Apparently many seemed to disagree with it. His speech, upon receiving the award, focused on the Mueller investigation.

In all seriousness it is getting tougher to be a white person, especially a white male.

In the last few years I have personally seen more hatred and racism among the black community than ever before. I even know a business owner who refuses to hire anyone who isn't black. He somehow gets a pass for his racism, but if a white business owner refused to hire blacks or other minorities, he'd face all kinds of legal action.

In a perfect world there would be no racism, no sexism, no hatred, no prejudice, no discrimination whatsoever. But we don't live in a perfect world, and discrimination of some kind has always existed and unfortunately always will.

But most people have worked out that accusations like that are meaningless. I have no white privilege in my life, most of my ancestors were used as cheap labour..and by cheap I mean barely having enough to eat.

Chips on their shoulders is a good way to describe their attitudes. Certainly not all black people are this way but a fair share of them are.

The privilege isn’t been born rich and going to Eton. It’s that everything is harder for minorities than the majority because of societal and institutional racism. A classic example of societal racism is saying black people have a chip on their shoulder (I’m white btw).

I’m sure you noticed the statue of the slaver in Bristol being toppled. I wonder what the good people of Portsmouth have done to confront their own city’s involvement with the slave trade.

They invaded England 1000 years ago and yet the class divisions they inflicted on your society are still felt today. Descendents of William’s entourage include the Duke of Westminster (Gros Venor was William’s Hunter) who owns half of London. If the inequality of the Norman invasion is still prevalent today, how can you deny the same of the slavery which only ended in the 1860s?

Well it's nonsense because it is clear that many black people do have a chip on their shoulder (meaning they are convinced white people are responsible for their position), they really believe white people are holding them back and that white culture encourages this. White guilt is really only held by materially well off white people ...they feel guilty about their easy, meaningless lives so look for meaning by pretending to care about black people's economic/social situation.

Being angry about the past is about as stupid as it gets... the Normans may well have created a certain privilege for other Normans that stretch out to this day...I seriously don't give a **** , life is never fair, get over it because the socialist "cure" is worse than the problem.

The word "Race" is more inflammatory than culture. So it's fair enough to prefer one culture to another, but once the left ties culture to race it makes it very hard to argue, for instance, that black culture is mainly responsible for black underachievement.
