In my experience I have only found one exception to this rule: and that is people who are personally benefiting from the drug war in some way like through employment (politicians, bureaucrats, agents, police officers, etc.). Other than that, there really are no exceptions. If you support the drug war you are either uninformed or unintelligent, but usually both.

You'd have to be blind not to see the obvious corruption in the drug war.

I think the drug war is a war lost and money spent on it is money thrown away. Drugs should be legalized. For a time the cost may be higher, but in the end the drug war will be a self limiting one when the users fall victim to their own stupidity!

Have you ever heard of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, LEAP?

It is an organization of men and women in the law enforcement field, from regular cops to federal judges and everything in between.

They see how prohibition harms this country and their chosen profession.

Leap is most definitely associated with NORML, the pot-addicts' orgainization.

Many of the LEAP members aren't even law enforcement officers.

LEAP most certainly has a number of "law enforcement" people who are simply pot-heads, obviously.

Any law enforcement organization that would associate with NORML is simply not a true law enforcement agency.

If you're strictly talking about marijuana? I agree with you. If you're talking about the harder stuff? I support it and think we should be doing a better job....which we could do, I think, if we legalized marijuana.

If your style of posting is that your way is the only way and you're not interested in an intelligent conversation about it? I'm not interested. But, at least, I share my opinion.

There's also all that could be tax money going to criminals wonder what they buy with it, maybe guns?

One other factor to consider do you know how much marijuana you would have to smoke in a day to overdose, think in pounds.eace
