Of course he's wrong.
On a side note, how many people actually pay attention to this birdbrain?
Someone donates money to keep this yayhoo preaching.
How much money does this guy actually rake in?

Even by his own brand of theology his statement does stand up to scrutiny. Was he offering an opinion or stating what he claims is a mortal sin? He called these men "bums", so then is he also claiming that real bums, hobos and transients are going to hell too? Or do they get a pass because they made a bold move not to stay at home?

Hagee is an idiot. He should be worried about eternal damnation for being an idiot.

Slothfulness is a sin but, anyone who stays at home with children and does domestic choirs is doing yeoman's work, benefitting the family and society.

Of there are many reasons why one might be Hell-bound.

Yes he is an idiot ...
1. Being a stay at home dad is not a sin.
2. Sin doesn't send you to hell in almost every christian theology.
3. I haven't seen one theologically sophisticated televangalist ... Ever ... and thus they should be ignored.

Dude should practice some self discipline before preaching to others.

he has gotten worse over the years.

1. your right it isn't a sin.
2. not sure where you got that from Sin is the exact reason you go to hell. in fact it is the number 1 reason you will go to hell. if sin didn't send you to hell then there was no reason for Christ to die for your sins.
3. I agree with that. most our out there to get you to donate money to their organization. most have gotten in trouble with the IRS for not using enough of their money for charitable work as they are suppose to be non-profit.

which makes no sense to me. i tend to ignore them on whole. i have yet to see a televangelist that was worth his salt.

I wouldn't agree with his exact wording, but I do believe that members of both genders who choose non - traditional lifestyles do serious harm to their souls.

Dude should read the gospels and stop squawking for money on TV. Idiots like this are worse than cancer.

I think "stay-at-homes" of either gender are doing God's work. The well-entrenched trend that our children are raised by nursery schools and babysitters is sad really.

In short, the guy's a blooming idiot.

2. My point was that commiting sin doesn't send you to hell by itself, rejecting Christ does, Christ already died for Sin. (to be Clear however I don't believe in eternal torment of hell)

who choose non - traditional lifestyles

What if it is thrust upon them by economic reality? Does it still damage their soul? For example: Anybody living between October 2008 - March 2014.

No it does not change anything. That's what friends and extended families are for helping with. In cases where that's not possible I'd rather see the children put into foster care.

I don't see what you are saying. If the wife earns $50,000 while the husband earns $0.00, why is friends, extended family and foster care part of the equation? $50,000 from a woman spends better than $15,800 from a man. I think you misunderstand Hagee's sentiment.

who gives a ****? Reasonable people will realize that just because some fat **** standing on a podium or has his own tv show claims to be the mouthpiece of God it doesn't make it so.

What is your personal interpretation of 1 Timothy 5:8? If you ignore the Bible as a source of authority, save me some time by ignoring my question.

Otherwise I am interested in what you have to say on this verse.

Being a televangelist will probably get you sent to hell long before being a stay at home parent will.

Reasonable people will realize

Very few people are 100% reasonable with every action or every development in their understanding of the world. Humans are not robots. We have emotions, thoughts, experiences and impulses that influence our perception. Humans aren't rational creatures no matter what Adam Smith had to say in "The Wealth of Nations".

Staying at home freeloader vs stay at home Dad because wife earns more, two different scenario. I have no idea which Hagee is referring to, since the video doesn't offer context.

Speaking of salt, wasn't Lot's "worldly" wife turned into a pillar of salt?
Working women should beware.:)

the guy's a blooming idiot.

This might be what he was taught as a child and he hasn't had any life experiences to challenge his involuntary inhibitions. Our parents have a lot of influence over us. A small portion of the things they teach us can never be removed no matter how much counseling you go through.

Cut the guy some slack.

I think it's hilarious that women fought so hard for the right to work to make wealthy men even wealthier. I suppose it wasn't really thought out all the way. Men are going to enjoy their new role in society by playing video games. Women fought for their own destruction. Very funny. They got their right to work. Ha ha ha ha

That's why you think women fought for equal rights in the workplace? How old are you? Twelve? Your rather misogynistic view is insulting.
