is elon musk offering money for votes illegal?

It almost certainly is illegal. For now, I encourage all Harris supporters, Dems and Republicans alike, to sign up. Then vote for Harris anyway,

LOL there;s a video everywhere today of Musk giving a guy a million dollar check for signing his petition, and there will be more!

That's cool, but it's not what the OP is talking about. It's not "buying votes".

I think it's something he will only do until the election. I'm not sure how many more times.
Its weird he says hes giving 1 million everyday until election yet it says you gotta sign by the 21st so you wouldnt win anyway with all the people doing it its just a trick.

This has nothing to do with Elon Musk's incentive to sign the Petition.

You're derailing your own thread.
You dont think anything is related and you spam the same word i see.

Im not derailing anything you said something so i responded thats called a back and forth.

Musk's cash award to people who sign a petition in favor of the U.S. Constitution is not "legalized bribery". It is an incentive to be patriotic.

This thread is typical left-wing bullshit misinformation.
It's only offered to swing state voters, and its legality is debated. There's no misinformation here.

That's cool, but it's not what the OP is talking about. It's not "buying votes".
Oh?

Perhaps all the emphasis that is being put on how this whole affair helps Donald Trump at the Polls is just imaginary?

Buying votes, or attempting to, truly arguable, but it is an attempt at buying loyalty, which, seriously, makes nothing of the loyalty.

Real loyalty isn't a monetary based commodity.

Of course there is. This BS thread is based on the false premise that Money was offered for votes. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. It's typical left-winger bullshit..

And dems eat it up.

This is why you people will lose. . . your insatiable appetite for MSM BS.

Yes, the OP is wrong. I'm just talking about Musk's activity. It may be illegal. We won't know unless someone takes a look, and I doubt that's coming. Experts disagree, so it's really anyone's guess.

Whether its votes or a petition you know which candidate he supports and how do you know he wont offer money for that too?

Its just a shame money has to even be a incentive whether its legal or not they just want people looking for cash not caring what the petition is about.

It's been said that the only stupid question is the one not asked. You just debunked it.

Musk's petition is specifically for supporting the First and Second Amendments. The people who sign it know exactly what the petition is about.

Your "offering money for votes" thread is shite. Based entirely on a false premise.

Musk is NOT buying votes. Musk is offering voters a chance to win money in the battleground states who sign the petition in support of the First and Second Amendments.

Musk did not break any laws by offering the prize. CNN and MSNBC are notorious for their bullshit fake news. I watch them, but for entertainment purposes.

This thread is typical Domocrat Bullshit Misinformation. These people are shameless and desperate.

Your rationalization is shameless. Musk is obviously trying to skirt the law.

In developing countries, politicians offer free beer to voters. They're not buying votes technically. They're buying people beer. That's illegal in the U.S. How is this different?

I'm pretty sure you would object if Le Bron James went around giving away free sneakers to voters.

I would love to win, get on stage and announce, "I am voting for Harris. I will not vote for Trump because he's a criminal. Thanks for the money, Musk."

That's cool, but it's not what the OP is talking about. It's not "buying votes".
LOL Musk is backing a petition to back the constitution while backing a guy who violated his oath to it. This wrong-way-round nonsense is bad for America. You just can't trust the people who do this type of thing, because to the perpetrators, it's only about making more money and screwing everyone else.

Its weird he says hes giving 1 million everyday until election yet it says you gotta sign by the 21st so you wouldnt win anyway with all the people doing it its just a trick.
Yeah, he's with Trump, so he's just another criminal operative out for himself. I'd like to see him deported, and barred from doing business in the U.S.

The OP isn't about whether this helps Trump. It's about Musk buying votes. He is not doing that.

I'm sure his lawyers checked it out.

Problem with American laws covering money in politics, it's all basically legalized bribes.

Just give an incoming immigrant at the border, free housing, food, schools and medical care, have a voter for life.
A voter that can't vote.

unnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng

The OP isn't about whether this helps Trump. It's about Musk buying votes. He is not doing that.
He is. He's using his money to encourage people to choose his preferred candidate. It may be indirectly, but that's the intention.

Good for you! You know what the OP is about! Quite astute of you! Too bad you seem clueless as to what my Post was about. In your silly overzealous rush to protect your seeming man king, Donald Trump. Too bad, indeed.

LOL!!

People using their money to "encourage people to choose his preferred candidate" is legal...and it is not buying votes.
