He's great business man, but so is Herman Cain and Romney for that matter. That's ALL Trump has going for him as far as I'm concerned.
No, but he sure is good for the democrats.
yup. Obama would have been smart (and happy) to let Trump continue to wage the equivalent of a suicide bomber campaign within the Republican party - ironically, the fact that he was willing to sit back and do so began to convince people that Trump was on to something, and he had to shut Trump down as his strategy worked a little too well.
There's even been the theory that Obama is "pumping up" Trump in order to have an easier go at winning reelection in 2012.
Stillballin at this point I believe Rush Limbaugh could beat obama.:mrgreen:
Trump has been through multiple bankruptcies, and has never managed any part of government. He seperates himself from his corporations, pays himself ridiculous salaries, and then runs them into the dirt.
if you want someone with actual proven experience at turning around a government that is running a structural deficit - and turning it into a surplus - then you want Governor Daniels. Not Bozo the Clown.
I'd vote for him. Not only is he charismatic, but he's a businessman. Although he was born into wealth and he did go bankrupt once, he has a bigger sense of fiscal responsibility than anyone on either side of the aisle. Quite frankly, the last thing America needs is another damned lawyer running things. That's the reason why Congress and the executive branch is chock full of fools - it's all people with law degrees, and not people with degrees in economics, finance, engineering, accounting, or other reasonable, rational, non-BS backgrounds.
I think he would be the first to really go Trumanesque and make the "buck stop here". Anyone who pushes for accountability and economic viability is a plus in my book.
Plus it helps that liberals here hate him. It's always fun to piss off liberals. It's like watching the fat kid pick up his ball and go home.
Gipper, I was willing to give him a chance and maybe would have thought on voting for him if he had not came out attacking Obama the way he has. Donald has shown his ass and could never run a country with that kind of temper and attitude
Maybe that is the kind of attitude that we need. Do we really want someone that kowtow's to everyone at the slightest percieved insult?
no. nor do we need someone who cannot control his mouth.
Nonsense. For all his faults, Donald Trump is no James Carville. Donald has some sense of decency. Not much, but some. As for Biden as an attack dog, he would forget who he was attacking and bite President Obama on the ankle.
Sylph: "Has he helped American's understand that its racist to constantly question where your president was born in the United States, even though he has provided proof 5-7 times in regard to this completely irrelevant issue?"
Sorry but that's your fantasy. I think Trump did raise the question about why President Obama didn't close the issue 2.5 years ago. As for providing proof 5-7 times, that's ludicrous. Providing proof to true believers and disciples such as yourself means making a bull**** statement. The goverment wouldn't accept my COLB for a passport so why should Americans accept a COLB for Barak Obama?
Seriously? Obama made Trump and the birther crowd look like the idiots that they are. Trump has gone from a serious contender to an absolute joke in a week.
What's racist is the left's obsession with the color of the man's skin.
The long form he released has his doctor and hospital. As far as I know MOST people are satisfied now. All they wanted was the long form, and after dithering around for over 2 yrs he finally showed it.
No matter what you may think of Trump no one can deny (honestly anyways) that the man is a good businessman. Otherwise he wouldn't be so stinking rich. Especially when you consider that the money he has wasn't inherited. Now think about what that could mean for our economy. The man obviously knows how to make a budget that isn't based on spend spend spend.
Besides, for the last 100+ years the POTUS seat has gone to politicians/lawyers, and look how that has turned out. At least with Trump we have years of coverage and know him compared to Obama and Palin who hardly anyone knew of post last presidential election season.
Well, everyone is complaining about the economy and all. Who better to fix it than someone with some buisness know how? Personally I've thought for years now that it would be good to have a POTUS that was a businessman/woman. Sure they'd still lie cheat and steal thier way through things but at least a good one would know more than a passing understanding of economics. I've yet to see a president in my life time that understood the simple fact that spending more than what you're getting in is not sustainable.
Also, for whatever its worth...Cain and Romney are not near as rich as Trump. And they're politicians. We need something new that hasn't been tried before. I'd say this is it.
