the dixiecrats were the days of old,but still exist openly among some democrats in the south.
im pointing out the progressive lkeader lbj who was blatantly racist, yet seen as a progressive hero, and the democrats who followed never ditched the old dixiecrat roots.just look at byrd, who was defended, look at ried who called obama a light skinned negro with no negro dialect unless he wanted it,look at ted kennedy who said a few years ago obama would have only gotten us coffee.
their racism has never died, they simply have just denied it and accused everyone else of being racist.a few months back i even did a long search of racist quotes between modern democrats post southern strategy and republicans post souther strategy, and democrats beat them on racism 8 to 1.
ill use the most blatant and offensive quote from the modern progressive era(ill have those niggers voting democrat for the next 200 years!)guess who that was,the same guy who pushed the civil rights bill, the same progressive who said in 57 "These Negroes, they're getting pretty uppity these days and that's a problem for us since they've got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we've got to do something about this, we've got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference. For if we don't move at all, then their allies will line up against us and there'll be no way of stopping them, we'll lose the filibuster and there'll be no way of putting a brake on all sorts of wild legislation. It'll be Reconstruction all over again." --Sen. Lyndon B. Johnson (D., Texas), 1957
