I agree. I misunderstood the gist of your rhetorical question, and thought you were being philosophical about the attempted assassination of a former governmental official by an adversarial foreign power. You have my apologies.

As comical as this could be, we should take rather seriously a state sponsored attempt to murder a prior member of our government.

There is no reason for us to put up with Iran trying to organize the assassinations of John Bolton or Mike Pompeo even if we politically oppose them.

I would offer the door is open to all sorts of measures, now lets see what is done... if anything.
