Interesting Take On Why The Increase In Gun Violence

it's not hard to know this would happen. Pandemic stressed a lot of people and many people had no income and were struggling. Poverty linked to crime. the income ineuqality has grown even worse. Drug addiction through the roof. Our healthcare system sucks, including mental health, so that contributes. Even now there are still other issues related to pandemic that continues to strain people. then you have this moronic country where guns are everywhere, not shocking why murder rate is up

the dumb fiction spewed on this forum just gets worse and worse, the level of trolling is downright pathetic

More nonsense that shows people have no idea what actually causes crime. Just push all the moronic right wing lies void of any reality.

Hey, lets get "tough on crime" where crime rate still high and we have highest rate of imprisonment in nearly the entire world on par with some real shitholes, with that, we should be crime free according to right wing idiocy

Funny, the pandemic has brought a lot of opportunities too. Essential services increased along with pay.
I knew those were the ones hiring. I submitted my application online and 10 minutes later I was hired on the spot through the telephone without an interview. Went from part time to full time along with a three dollar raise, plus free college tuition.
People were hiring in droves during the pandemic, it's up to people to take advantage.

Fine work, as usual, LC (y)

Japan used to have a good deal of gun violence...

Then they said ENOUGH...

Heard this theory the other day. 1.) 40% of college students are males. 2.) What kind of good paying jobs are out there for those men? Answer: The number of industrial jobs is decreasing because of technology and jobs lost to overseas countries. 3.) The reduction in good paying jobs pushes men into booze, drugs and violence and gang violence. Agree?Disagree?

Probably more complex than that, although economic conditions are often correlated with crime rates.

During the 20th Century, rises in violent crime actually coincided with periods of US involvement in foreign wars. That pattern was not necessarily repeated during the most recent foreign wars, but a notable difference is that Iraq/Afghanistan didn't require a national draft.

It's also worth pointing out that there were other things going on besides just wars. In the 1900-1935 period, there was massive economic expansion and also inequality. There was also Prohibition, which led to organized violent crime although the rise in violent crime began before the 1920s. Laborers had to work long, hard hours in physically demanding jobs and the labor movement was constantly fighting with corporations. The ingredients for violence were there.

Its not hard to understand. Leftists have spent the last 12 years stirring up and fomenting racial hatred, empowering those that commit violence, excusing their violent acts or blaming them on others, and then depleted law enforcement after destroying confidence in them. First they destroyed their communities, their families, then their economic opportunities. The violent destruction almost always occurs IN minority communities with crimes perpetrated BY minorities AGAINST minorities.

This is all done by leftist design.

Or a call center, or a waitress, or a bar tender...or a mechanic in a garage changing people's oil and rotating the wheels
You obviously have a low opinion of people doing some jobs.

Or perhaps your low opinion of blue collar workers without a degree. McDonalds is meant as a stepping stone to something else unless your an executive or store owner.

An indictment of the US college system
It's all about "credits", no wonder most degrees are absolutely worthless - doubtless you'll emerge with a bonafide degree in something like "Business Administration

Which is in somethings we somewhat agree. High student loans in a job field that pays little, such as women studies. Lead to something like "Occupy Wallstreet".

Blue collar jobs tend to have stability that doesn't effect it much due to shifting technology. Such as commercial AC&R, electricians, plumbers, truck driver, ect.
These high paying blue collar jobs can be had for less training, little to no student loans and making money right away compared to college students/graduates.

My own training, all done in military schools. Which are so good, are awarded college credit. Working in the mechanical engineering field, so sought after during that time, reelistment bonuses up to 30k for four additional years. Working in high tech field of gas turbines, in multimillion dollar engineering plants.

You said:
If you consider a short order cook or cashier a lifetime career.

Sounds like a low opinion to me.

High loans getting a worthless degree.

BS
Those are the kind of jobs that are most threatened by advances in technology and automation.

Such as commercial AC&R, electricians, plumbers, truck driver, ect.

Or car assembly plant workers seeing increased automation
Have you not seen the rise of driverless vehicles - sure the technology is in its infancy right now
Even the military is considering unmanned aircraft and tanks

And with the growth of the global economy, multi-national enterprises will seek manufacturing where labor costs are the lowest. Did you not hear about Harley-Davidson closing down more US based manufacturing ?
Take a walk around Wal-Mart - how many manufactured goods were made in the USA do you think ?

Wake up.

These high paying blue collar jobs can be had for less training, little to no student loans and making money right away compared to college students/graduates.

And moved overseas in many cases
Yet, school leavers flock to these "colleges" and pay a lot of money to get worthless degrees.

College credits = scam.
