West Virginia is considered coal country. Many of those who have worked in the mines there have what is called, "black lung disease". It is caused by breathing in the coal dust in the mines. THose who have i get special benefits that are paid for by the Feds under a special excise tax. That tax is soon going to be cut in half with a fund that is already under water. Now the connection, Manchin is the Senator from West Virginia who should be supporting those workers who worked and live in the state he represents. With the excise tax soon to be reduced, Manchin should be doing everything he can to help his people and he could have saved the program by voting for BBB as it has a section which will save that fund. So it is interesting when he says that the people in his state do not want him to vote for BBB, when over 58% are in favor of the bill and it would help those miners who have black lung disease. Thus I find it interesting how with the connections he has with this bill he voted against it. Must be a reason beyond his constituents that lead him to just say no.

Do you think maybe it has to do with the massive financial and political interests he has in coal power?

I do not know about that, but apparently he cares little bout the coal miners

He gets half a million dollars per year in dividends from coal stock. Oh look he's against various climate change efforts. What a coincidence!

He's chair of the committee that regulates the coal industry and he founded a coal company that his son now runs. In a just world, he'd be in prison already.

Gee, I guess having mob rule isn't a great idea is it? We aren't a democracy but a constitutional republic. Maybe Sherrilyn slept through that part of grade school civics class

What kind of republic is the US?

We keep following the money. We need not to trouble ourselves following the coal miners and their money, so lets head toward his campaign donations. Bets there are crumbs that lead from bank account to bank account.

I will worry about it if I see it but I don't think Trump is even going to be the nominee

Could be that this noble and worthy item buried in the lies and theft of this monstrosity by the lying thieves needs to be singled out and passed as a stand alone bill by the lying thieves.

If I am forced to vote for a nice steak for dinner, but also forced to have it garnished with and buried in pig crap on my plate, I might defer the favor from the chef.

I call bullshit-I don't think Trump will be the nominee. and why would people in line to vote in 2022, when the next election for president isn't until 2024. and even in 2024, wouldn't the "revolution" take place AFTER the voting was over?
