Cool. It was a suggestion of how to deal, not a quotation of statute. We're into hypothetical responses, here. Not legal rationalization for powerlessness. I have a red card, not a membership in the DLC, anyway. I am on the board, rather openly, in how I think we do.

Musk donated $288 billion to Trump's campaign.
No. Musk donated $3,500 to the Trump campaign - the maximum individual donation allowed by law. A PAC spent hundreds of millions of dollars on the Trump campaign using his money.
No loopholes unless people want to go to jail. There are no PACs here. Most countries don't have PACs.
I’d be very surprised if no one in Canada funnels more than the individual limit in some form or fashion.

Well they can do as they like with the accounts. But this is also why you shouldn't turn to social media for news and such.

And where is this number derived from ? Billionaires are paying so much in taxes that if they left our taxes would have to go up by that much?
So you're saying the country needs less wealth
No. I am saying the wealth needs to be spread around and not held mostly by a few hundred people who sit on it like vast dragon hordes. Most of the billionaires need their assets sold off so that they can be bought up at bargain basement prices by the middle class.
What stops the government from seizing your property? You really need to think about giving the government that kind of power
I am a bankruptcy lawyer by trade, CLAX. The government already has broad power when it comes to seizing and liquidating property and assets.

It's not a cartoon it's a book. It's about believe me a worst dictator is better because it's different.
It's a cartoonish fairy tale, exaggerated for art's sake, in order to critique the Soviet Union. It is not a measure of anything.

That's ridiculous.

The last candidate in Canada that violated our campaign laws was turfed by the Liberals.

The laws are strictly enforced. That is normal for most countries. The fact that the US political system is so corrupted is an anomaly, not the norm in the rest of the developed world.

That is one of the problems with letting Billionaires exist.

It’s like a lot of our problems are created by Billionaires

Without the opportunity to become billionaires you stifle innovation and competitiveness. The very things that make Democratic free markets the greatest place for opportunities in the world.

If you're butthurt some billionaire lives a lifestyle you can't imagine, it's not their problem. It's yours.

Yeah, Ireland is like wicked terrible at innovation.

How much do you think our government gets from billionaires
No. I am saying the wealth needs to be spread around and not held mostly by a few hundred people who sit on it like vast dragon hordes.
Wealth is created it's not a finite resource
Most of the billionaires need their assets sold off so that they can be bought up at bargain basement prices by the middle class.
Why?

It shouldn't have that why do you think great to get more would make it better?

Maybe spite shouldn't be your only setting

Apparently context hurts people's feelings.
Apparently some people's feelings are SO badly hurt they need to deflect from a current story to an unrelated one........

Whataboutism is an argumentative tactic where a person or group responds to an accusation or difficult question by deflection. Instead of addressing the point made, they counter it with “but what about X?”.
