The Sons of Liberty could be classified as terrorists, possibly... but they were not the Colonial Army. They were a political organization organized to deal with political issues, namely taxes,

Kashmir is 97% Muslim. They don't want to be part of India and have been very clear about that.

Should people who don't want to be part of a country be forced to be part of it against their will?

What's incorrect? Colonial militias during the War of Independence attacked the Iroquois and slaughtered civilians and burned down towns in order to terrorize the Iroquois into no longer supporting the British.

it was more than that winning the war of independence. turns out General Howe threw the war and allowed the americans to win. secret societies tend to do that.

Welllll…speaking of things not being so simple lol. The only reason Pakistan exists is because the Muslims and Hindus decided they could not live together in a unified India. Kashmir is an even worse problem because Pakistan, India, and China all have claims on it, all have their hands in that cookie jar with their own administered pieces, and they all hate each other.

Update: This is spiraling out of control fast. Pakistan has shot down 5 Indian jets and one drone. They are now shelling the piece of Kashmir administered by India. UAE urges both parties to stand down.

No. They should be free to move to Pakistan if Pakistanis is what they want to be. Same for the Muslims in Lakshadweep - or anywhere else in India. Is Pakistan refusing to take them?

I get the sense that you mistakenly believe that any ethnic or religious concentration that over time develops in any country has some inherent right to declare they are suddenly some other country. Is that the case? Is there some critical tipping point when you declare that the majority population can vote itself off the island?
 
I haven’t found any live coverage/reporting that isn’t an Indian propaganda station. They’re all running with the same line. It was “targeted strikes on terrorist camps.” It was not escalation. No escalation. Don’t believe anything a Pakistani tells you. Everything is fake news. The government is “activating fact checking units” to tell everyone what to believe.

Update: Pakistan has formally notified the UN Security Council that it is invoking its right to respond in self defense at a time and place of its choosing under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.

Wow! Just over 100 days into his 2nd term, and Trump already has his first war. Who'da thunk, huh?

Not only has he totally failed to fix the two ongoing ones like he promised, he's got new ones starting already. What's next? North Korea invading South Korea? China invading Taiwan? And after moving 3/4 of our B2 stealth bombers to Diego Garcia, how long before Trump attacks Iran? Maybe any day now.

When it comes to failing to negotiating peace, and sparking global chaos instead, Trump is the biggliest over achieving gasbag on the planet. Tomorrow's headlines should read, "The Fart of the Deal!"

I disagree, Allan. This is just being done to shore up Modi's and the Hindu Nationalist BJP's waning popularity.

This is why Modi rejected Pakistan's offer for an independent investigation to be conducted into the terrorist attacks.

Don't get me wrong...Pakistan has an incredibly corrupt government, sections of which have done deals with terrorists, but let us not take our eyes off the ball here.
