I guess I am guilty of emotionally reacting to things I have read - and I agree I should know better by now - :lol: but IF CNN was telling the truth about the man's reaction to receiving such a devastating email, and it was not just another attempt by the MSM to smear Trump, it did sound like a lousy way to treat anyone, let alone an 89 tear old man! :shock: BTW, does anyone know how CNN got involved in this story in the first place?

CNN got involved because they are as bad as Hannity.

I agree it is rough and the guy is old and his reaction is sad but I also feel anybody threatening suicide has emotional issues and many here are being held emotionally hostage. Not you... some of the angry ones.

Hopefully Trump recognizes the man's sensitivity and does something nice to honour him beyond the small gestures and honour so far granted.

The fundamental thing everyone needs to understand was that this was the election where even mere truthiness went out the window. This is an exchange that actually happened, after the Baby in Chief got his feathers ruffled by an actresses' remarks:

“That is not what he did and he has said that 1,000 times,” she said Monday morning. “Why can’t you give him the benefit of the doubt?”

Cuomo shot back, “He can say it a million times but look at the video... he’s making a disgusting gesture on video.”

“Why is everything taken at face value?” she asked. “You can’t give him the benefit of the doubt on this and he’s telling you what was in his heart, you always want to go with what’s come out of his mouth rather than look at what’s in his heart.”




His loyalists are being instructed to accept (and I guarantee you that they will repeat it on DP), the two following propositions:

An actual video recording of Trump saying and doing things is not evidence. What Trump later claims he said is the only evidence.

Ignore everything Trump says and look what's in his heart. (Incidentally, a "heart" loyalists will never question)

What hope is there that a Trump supporter will ever admit he did something wrong if this is the kind of crap they're cramming their heads with?

For a PERSON who comes off as smug as you most often do, at least try to include something sensible to justify your general attitude of the opposition. Right now, you are throwing grapefruits, and narrow generalizations.

When you are firing someone you are literally taking away their paycheck.

I have heard some horror stories about Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, David Mscavige. They are not very popular figures.

It takes some real fortitude to be a CEO like Trump. That's why few men like him exist. As a CEO, his whole life has been about doing what is best for business and profit margins.

Charlie Brotman needs to be held accountable for his job. He'll likely find another job in this economy. I'm sure Trump will find him a job as a stadium announcer for a Triple A baseball team or a High School team in the DC area.

I do not know how these things work...I assume Trump can decide who he wants to announce his inauguration.

I think Trump is a buffoon and I think the whole inauguration thing is a COMPLETE waste of time. But it IS Trump's inauguration parade. If he wants someone else, that is his right (I guess). What's the big deal?


And this guy is way, WAY overreacting. Thoughts of suicide? Come on now.

If his mental state is hanging by a thread so thinly that he contemplates suicide solely because he loses a gig that comes every 4-8 years? Then he needs a shrink...not an announcer's job.

The guy is 88-89...he has announced every POTUS parade since Ike. He should be glad he got to do so many - not suicidal because his run eventually ended.
