I doubt GOP will file any - if its a fair election. Trump might complain .. .but GOP won't legally fight it

Democrats however will. They'll file in every way that a convicted felon shouldn't be POTUS. They'll file that counting was illegally done, they will question the entire voting system if they don't get their way and win

and if its a rout like in 2016? tens of millions will STILL pour into the streets

GOP/conservatives? we work, we don't have time for that touchy feely hate thing

The chaz was a formal insurrection. People died in there. I believe that women were raped. ect.

Last time was a fair election too, and Trump and MAGA filed absurd numbers of lawsuits. There's always going to end up being challenges and court cases after an election regardless of who wins/loses.

It wasn't, it was a stupid ****ing plan by Seattle to contain the protests, but that area was ceded and specifically set for protesting.


On June 8, 2020, after the killing of George Floyd by police in Minneapolis, then-Mayor Jenny Durkan ordered the Seattle Police Department to surrender an entire residential-commercial neighborhood to protesters, who christened the area the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ). The police department helped block off the area, displacing residents and business owners by barricading roads.

So it wasn't a formal insurrection, not when the city itself gives the area over and installs the blockades themselves. It was a huge act of indescribable stupidity. I had thought they were initially doing it to give them time to get their National Guard in place to deal with the rioters. But no, the ****ing Mayor thought this would go all super well. Anarchy never works, and the results of CHAZ/CHOP should have been easily predicted from the start. Seattle paid a pretty penny for that lesson.

I've always heard it described as an Autonomous Zone, and a formal insurrection.


They didn't allow cops to investigate the murder and rapes because they were representatives of the US government.


NOt really sure why you want to...oh, right, they are lefties and you want to use the term "insurrection" as a club against Trump and his supporters, but, you don't really care about it, it's just a word to use.

The city ordered cops out. The CHAZ mess is 100% on the shoulders of the Mayor, it wasn't an insurrection.

Let's remember that only the most extreme of the 1/6 rioters was charged and rightfully so, imo, with seditious conspiracy. Lobbing the charge of sedition at Trump supporters is fundamentally a dishonest sealioning tactic, the poorest of debate strategy, and here is why. Nobody who posts here is guilty of anything more than supporting a candidate that they don't like. That's it.

No, it doesn't change what happened, but it does demonstrate that it wasn't an "insurrection". That area wasn't seized by the protestors, it was granted by the Mayor for the expressed purpose of containing the protest.

Where does anything come from? Them making a name doesn't mean that the area was not specifically granted by the Mayor to contain the protests and that the Mayor withdrew police presence from the area.
