I’m guessing this posts claims that it’s only past Trump supporters or current (Rs) have issues with masks. Here’s the thing, when our leaders side step even the CDC recommendations for outside mask wearing for some odd political optic it absolutely shows and gives the wrong message with the vaccine push. In reality they don’t want mask mandates to be canceled because it’s not just about the mask it comes with power and control with school and business openings and other.

Just look the stupid optics with the VP and husband kissing with masks on, they were outside, both vaccinated and distanced and surrounded by only vaccinated people. What getting back to normal with getting vaccinated does that support?

Trump never bragged constantly about overruling his covid team, link to that if you can. What he did do unlike the figure head and chief we now have that’s strings are pulled by his cabinet of former lobbyists is manage the pandemic, you know, the thing you do when elected president. Curious, can you point to anything of substance the current admin has done compared to the warp speed progress of the last admin.

I am not a conservative, for one thing. I think most of the blame should go to the people who started the pandemic, who were careless and ignored all the warning. Maybe Trump should have been god-like and all-knowing, but he wasn't. Neither was Cuomo, or almost any other politicians. No one knew what to expect at the beginning.

I see people outside walking alone with masks on. I see them driving alone in their cars with masks on. They probably wear masks at home, and when sleeping.

Masks might help a little when indoors with strangers spraying spit all over. Other than that, it is stupid to wear them. And very stupid if you are trying to exercise and get fresh air.

Interesting and enlightening post, So,158 million deaths world wide isn’t enough to investigate the origins to ensure this is never repeated. The sad part is that we already know the origin and offender but the truth always gets deflected because of politics and greed.

For me, anyone that has excused the obvious with the Wuhan China connection and the Wuhan Institute of Virology were the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was working on coronavirus pathogens is bizarrely naive. It’s very hard for me to grasp that anyone could be partisan enough to ignore these facts.

Actually the scientists were telling us all the way back in January 2020 what to prepare for. The idiot in the White House would not listen, thus many more Americans died than should have.

The article doesn't ever posit that the virus was fashioned for weaponization

What it does present is that US agencies funded coronavirus research in a Wuhan lab, including gain of function research and the alteration of coronavirus genotypes, which escaped via accidental human contact. Not only is his theory well documented, his presentation is scientifically stronger than the bat theory that was trotted out early 2020.

We agree: 500k dead and a wrecked economy was Trump managing covid. But I’m happy to see a conservative acknowledge a potus should manage a deadly plague. Refreshing!

The current admin did what the former guy refused: create a coherent *national* strategy and surge resources/personnel to the states to help organize. Yknow, all the stuff Trump and his base kept saying wasn’t his problem. And as a result we are looking at an amazing summer and even better fall.

President Biden is just doing the bare minimum of what we should expect from the leader of the wealthiest nation in the history of the world. Shame that the former guy couldn’t even jump over that low bar.
