The Novichok-laced cherry on top seems to be that Russia also has a profoundly defective culture that believes insanely ridiculous propaganda and celebrates--or passively condones, helplessly shrugging--psychopathic strongmen, genocide, and child rape.

The problem is that Russia is a kleptocracy. There would be plenty of money for the people if the oligarchs didn’t steal the people’s money. Putin is worth $200 billion.
