Imagine you live in Berlin 1945, (For an emotional equivalent substitute your hometown) with Soviet troops advancing on your homeland raping, looting, burning and murdering innocent people, some who you may even know your self. You have a choice, die in the service of a totalitarian madman (who brought this upon your people) to help slow the Soviet advance and give the women and children a little extra time to escape to the American zone or do you try to avoid the fighting and escape yourself ?

Are you kidding? This isn't even a choice for me.

If I am defending my land and my people, I don't down arms until they kill me or they get the Hell out of my country. It doesn't matter what kind of madman is running the country, and whether or not the foreigners think they're justified-- they pay in blood for every single day their boots are on my soil.

Coordinate a defense. Get IED's put out on major roads. Fortify certain houses overlooking major road junctions with snipers. Put bazookas on the roads coming into the town. Ambush. Kill 'em.

There is no choice.

Someone's invading my country, I fight, I kill, and I keep fighting and keep killing until I'm dead or the invader is gone. That my country is ruled by a madman is immaterial at that point. Shame on me for allowing the putz to get power in the first place.
