You are still making no sense. Seat belts are the only non automatic option for automobile passengers. They either belt up or they do not. Air bags are automatic. Gun safes are not by a long shot the only option for keeping guns out of the reach of children.

But we made laws requiring seatbelts because they are the best option. Gun safes and gun locks are also the best option.

What point is that? The violent crime rate in Caldwell County, Texas is about half the rate of the state of Texas and lower than the national average. You ask for examples and then try to say that they don't count by moving the goalposts. I picked my area of the country for the specific purpose of showing you what reality I live with (lax gun laws and all). I agree that higher density areas offer criminals more chances to disappear in a crowd but don't spew BS that a combination of armed citizens that will not hesitate to stop criminals and law enforcement willing to do the same can keep violent criminals seeking less green pastures to claim their victims.

If we go after the gang violence in the inner cities, that will actually cut down most of the violence. we can also address the issue of for instance drug abusers committing violent acts(including gun violence) for the sake of getting the money for their next drug fix. And we can probably do more to prevent suicides. The point is, address the causes for gun deaths, rather then an inanimate object. Guns do not have a mind of their own. They do not stand themselves up, aim themselves and shoot. Some humans do that and pull the trigger. Okay?

Lets take NYC. Great example. Enforcement of laws can reduce gun deaths IF.......IF IF IF......you have strict gun laws to enforce. There is NOWHERE on the planet it works without the strict gun laws in place.
