If you could bring back something from the past, what would it be??

a) The Library of Alexandria.

b) Authentic GM paperwork detailing the vin numbers and details of both 1969 ZL1 Corvettes. And if it no longer exists, bring back the missing 1969 ZL1 Corvette as well. For that matter, bring back all the missing 1969 ZL1 Camaros. Not necessarily to my driveway (although that would be nice). I would just like for them to still exist and be recognized for what they are.

c) All the lost Doctor Who episodes. I'm not much of a Dr. Who person. I wanted to be, but just too damn many Golden Compass/His Dark Materials tribute unhappy endings. Still, I would bring back all the lost episodes.

d) The high quality video recording of the first moon landing that the idiots at NASA taped over to save money on recording media.

e) The official bombing target maps for Hiroshima and Nagasaki that were swiped from the Library of Congress and probably now reside in some billionaire's private collection.

The only thing I wish I could be back from the past is my parents. Especially my Dad.

He never got to meet his grandson and he would have loved him and been so god damned happy. (My Mom at least got to spend several years with her grandson…so if I only get to bring one, I’m bringing him since he didn’t get that experience and she did)

The era of real music...the 60's-70's...

Crystal Pepsi. I kid, I kid.

I miss the good ole days of Pizza Hut in the 90s. The red plastic cups, the waitress bringing out the pan to the table, the individual pizzas for Book It, picking a song on the jukebox.

Pizza Hut was always a little too greasy and nasty for me. Used to be a joint in North Louisiana called Johnny's and in South Louisiana there was Mr. Gatti's.

For me, it's less about the taste of the pizza and more about the memories. Good times.

LSU 1990s.

I don't remember everything.

There's a lot I don't remember, actually. Probably a good thing.

It doesn't even have to be from your life time. It can be anything, from a tv series to a car to a habit gone by. It can even still exist but just a rarity these days, like hats on Easter. Do you have something you miss or think you miss??

For me, it's 747s, when they were mostly empty, station wagons, when they were really big and disco music, lol
Baseball without wildcards, played on grass, no DH, no interleague play and a couple of world series games, Saturday and Sunday played in the afternoon.

Don't forget the tabletop Ms. Pac-Man and Galaga.

Wrigley Field in the left field stands, watching the Cubbies play my Cardinals in 1968, with Joe Niekro facing Bob Gibson

It was my first big league game....watching Brock, Maris, Ernie Banks....

That was the year Gibson has the 1.12 era for the entire year.....

I was hooked....

NASCAR with actual stock cars.

Meaning you go down to the dealership, buy a car, rip out the interior, install the safety equipment, weld the doors shut and go racing.

NASCAR today wouldn't know what a stock car was if it ran them over.

You know, my maternal Grandpa died when I was 18. I really would like to talk to him again, from the perspective of all these years. I would tell him, "You were right and I was wrong about so much, Grandpa. Let's go fishing."

I never followed it in those glory days, though my uncle had a new Superbird Roadrunner back then.

In later times, I followed it for a few years because my wife liked it. I quit following it when Jeff Gordon retired though. I mainly liked to pester my wife by being a Gordon fan.

Across the street from the front gate of Monteith Barracks in Furth, there was a little pizza stand. 5 marks for a pepperoni pizza about 12 inches. Man, I would give a lot for one right now.

The Permian Mass Extinction or Harvey's old style fries. ;)

I'm on the fence.

Cheers and be well for a while.

I was quit possibly at that game. Ernie Banks was my hero.

Lower cost of living, like in the 50s. Cars and houses were much cheaper, a single income could support a whole family, and you didn't need to mortgage your future just to go to college or see a doctor.
Especially if you were White.

Definitely Disco Music...........( who ever cancelled that for their bizarre reasons should be punished , shamed, and ostrasized from society.

And Dinosaurs. .....( the only concern would be that gun fanatics would kill them for sport ) Dino's were fascinating creatures.

Return to the er before Trump..........when civility , diplomacy, and humanity (and REAL law) mattered )

Dinosaurs still exist. Birds are dinosaurs.
