If Trumpcare turns out to be garbage... or doesn't happen at all... will he have lied when he made the promise, or will it be the Dem's fault for thwarting him?

Maybe it's me, but I don't recall any disclaimers or qualifications. I remember him flat-out saying it would be great.

The Republicans control the presidency and both houses of Congress. They have zero standing to blame the Democrats if anything goes wrong here. Zero.

My guess is that Trump's remarks will be something the video of Jason Chaffetz's perspective:

It's his baby. Success or failure.

I am not going to call it TrumpCare, we are only here because Obama not only insisted on doing ObamaCare when he had a least a couple of dozen more important things to do which he neglected, but then he did it poorly, so poorly that it is already collapsing....which means that we need to again devote time and energy to this that is desperately needed elsewhere.

This is all on Obama's legacy.

Honestly, I think Trump is so Good, he can convince his supporters that he never made such a promise.

He's just that good of a Liar. ;)

Oh look a Trump supporter already making excuses for how lousy Trumpcare will be. Color me surprised.

I am a socialist, not just that but a ZEN SOCIALIST..... one who is aware of the interconnectiveness of things... with a very thin ego.

That argument gets nowhere with me.

I am not that much a narcissist.

I disagree.

We're dealing with Trump here. He could get people to hate God because of rain. If it doesn't happen, he will blame "traitors" withing the Republican party who sold out to the enemy, the MSM, and, of course Democrats and probably Obama for creating the attitude.

It it's junk, he'll do what he always does, claims it's "great" and walks away. Remember how "great" Trump university was? That was until the lawsuit details surfaced. Recall all the other "great" things he's done...like Trump Steak.

He's a sociopath. He does not give a twitters damn about what you think, it only matters that he can say that and have some people believe him.

There's is ONE (1) way to pay for Universal Healthcare ... but first you have to believe is Math. Because without the individual Mandate and The Medicaid Expansion, you're NOT ever going to have Universal Healthcare. Take those two legs out and you don't ave Stool to sit on. It ain't Rocket Science, it's basic Economics and Demographics. The Heritage Foundation knew it, The Clinton Administration knew it, and so did The Obama Administration.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, President Barack Obama will be the last American President who actually gave a crape about the healthcare of all Americans. Now I hope Americans get exactly the Healthcare they Voted for and nothing more.

Everything I've seen about it has made it objectively worse, which would explain why it wouldn't be enacted until 2020. They want to be absolutely certain that millions of people don't start losing their insurance until after the next Presidential election. This bill is not only mean spirited, it's also the most cynical thing I've ever seen.

This is a new era in American politics. They will blame the Democrats, and they won't care how stupid it sounds because the country is now so divided that Trump supporters will adopt any talking point whatsoever. There was zero evidence that Obama ordered a wire tap on Trump, but has that stopped them from repeating the accusation as verified fact?

This is a much dumber country than it was, say, ten years ago.

Oh look, another fool who cant follow a very simple argument.

Obama either did not understand the problem, why our deeply broken health system is a threat to the nation, or he pretended to not know (costs).

Either way, **** him.

This was about him and his ego, which is attached to a guy who's judgement is ****.

I want to say that his supporters would be disillusioned by waiting that long, but I can't.

So while the Republicans kicked, screamed and obstructed Obama's healthcare reform attempts every day he was in office, it was solely the fault of Obama that the healthcare reform wasn't successful? You place no blame at all on the people who spent every waking moment making sure it was a failure for partisan posturing?

I wish republicans would quit working people for like two seconds. Insurance companies were gouging people. We pass the ACA to control costs. ACA is a mixed bag. Some like it, some don't. Republicans pounce on the opportunity to steal votes by blaming health care issues on Obama. Now, they offer bs solutions like competition across state lines. Competition across state lines is going to cause insurance companies to move to states with the least regulations and taxes on insurance. So, they all flock to a deregulated state, so insurance just got completely deregulated to make the drug companies and insurance companies all richer at your expense. And state lines is the Republican gift to you.

There's no way they're pawning this state lines brain child off on Obama, the Media, or liberals. Try single-payer or the public option, liberals will gladly take the blame for that.

I got an idea ... let' just forget all the games and obstacles The GOP put in place to torpedo the law ...

But in the end, I feel just like you, **** them! The sooner those Voters die-off, the happier I'll be.

Both. Because anyone who says otherwise is partisan/biased.

It has been broken for decades, and it just gets worse, no matter what reforms we throw at it.

Just like the education system.

And the legal system.

I blame everyone.
