It will make it tougher but I still think Americans of all stripes would reject Trump again. Just imagine the Cabinet he would try and put together. Mostly acting and temporary for certain as he could never manage to get a full Cabinet that could receive Senate approval even by all the GOP Senators. Rudy for AG, Sidney Powell for WH Counsel, Michael Flynn for DoD,.....no one with any brains or experience would want anything to do with the man!!!

Trump would definitely go about as "rogue" as he can get and install as many of his fascist cronies in his Adminstration...and immediately come after his political enemies and anyone who opposes him...and the GOP would do nothing about it, and the GOP voter base would cheer it on.

All the Republicans have to do is run a reasonable candidate (someone like John Kasich or even Romney again) and a large percentage of Progressives will just stay home rather than vote for Biden.

If the GOP nominated Charlie Baker Republican governor of MA...he could easily win independents against an unpopular Biden....but nope he's too sane for today's radicalized GOP base.

It's either Trump, or one of his clones. That's what the base demands. Nothing less.

Instead of looking to 2024, shouldn't all eyes be on 2022 midterms? Not looking so good for Democrats. Maybe that is why they do not want to talk about it. As far as 2024, Personally I doubt Biden will be on the ticket. Before 2024 Biden will either be impeached or the 25th amendment will be invoked. The Republicans will have to go through their primary to determine who their candidate will be.

lmao, you clowns really think Biden will be removed via impeachment? Not happening....but if it did...rest assured the next GOP president (if there ever is one again), will get absolutely obliterated by the Dems. Be careful what you wish for there comrade.

I wouldn't be so sure. The man has more PAC money than either party combined (https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...han-republicans-democrats-combined/ar-AAVkS0f) and it currently beating Biden in the polls. (https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/poll-trump-leads-biden-harris-in-2024-match-ups/ar-AAVCSHm)

The best thing that Biden can do for Trump is to keep on doing nothing. The Dems are going to get murdered in the midterms because they've done nothing to actually address people's material conditions and many of their promises have not been fulfilled (ie BBB and the infrastructure deal, student loans).

The hell you talking about? The infrastructure deal was passed...and student loan payments pause has been extended...again. You think if Trump and the GOP were in control now an infrastructure bill would have been passed? Student loan payments ever paused? What the hell did those losers do when they had power back in 2017? Pass massive tax cuts for their wealthy handlers?

I'm talking about student loan forgiveness not merely pauses on the loan payments.

Whose fault is that? The democratic party is center right. The democratic party Senate caucus is remarkably unified but has only
50 votes when all are in agreement. It is more unified than the G.O.P. Senate caucus, if the votes on Trump's second impeachment and
the vote on confirming Biden SCOTUS nominee, Judge Brown, are any indication.

Contrast contemporary G.O.P. lack of bipartisanship with the G.O.P. legislative representation in 1965...

LMAO... He got his ass stomped in 2020 and would get absolutely trashed in 2024... He is now a known quantity...
He was a known quantity before 2016; try to keep up.

I highly doubt either one will be running in 2024. But if they do, I don’t think it would take more than a week or two in front of the cameras during the campaign to remind independents why they disliked Trump so much that they voted for Biden by 13 points over Trump. Those memories, mostly forgotten today or placed at the back of their minds would come flooding back with Trump front and centered. I would say most independents don’t want to return to a president whose childish antics of name calling and throwing of temper tantrum along with his 3rd grade schoolyard bullying tactics drove them to such distraction that they would vote handily for an old, uninspiring, bland, very uncharismatic candidate. I don’t see how Trump could ever win the independent vote which is a must for the Republican Party since they are still the smaller of the two major parties.
So they'd rather have a do-nothing with a toddler-minded VP, who accomplished zero and let the border and the economy go to hell?

Take it as you like. 2020 was an election all about personality. You had an obnoxious, uncouth candidate who acted like a four-year-old spoiled brat with his name calling and throwing of temper tantrums along with his 3rd grade schoolyard bullying tactics. He went up against a candidate who acted presidential, behaved like an adult. Although that candidate was old, bland, uninspiring, lacking enthusiasm and charisma, maybe no personality at all.

2020, folks were just tired of a 75-year-old man acting like a spoiled brat with no manners whatsoever. An ego out of this world. They voted mainly against Trump, not necessarily for Biden, Biden just happened to be his opponent who knew how to behave like a grownup and as a president should and was expected.

Add to the fact Biden was believed to be a moderate Democratic who’s policies were unknown to most. But not his demeanor. Independents decided the 2020 election, 60% of independents had a very negative view of Trump due mostly to his rude, egotistical and childlike persona while 48% viewed Biden negatively. Hence Biden won the independent vote 54-41 and the white house. Personality carried the day.
