If this is the reaction of the lunatic right over a search warrant, how will they react when he's indicted criminally?

Also, you seem to be very confused about the nature of this search warrant. Trump illegally took classified documents from the White House to his private residence. We know this is true because he already turned over 15 boxes previously. This search warrant was apparently to get what he had yet to return, but was told to.

The "results" that you think need to be shown are the documents themselves, not what they contain.

Had they obtained a search warrant, upon an affidavit, based upon the claim that Trump was retaining classified documents that belonged to the national archive and not found any, that would be a problem. But that didn't apparently happen.

Now I'm sure, Trumpers such as yourself will spin this any way you want. But the fact is: he had classified documents that he should have never taken to begin with. The FBI executed a search warrant to get them back. Deal with it.

It's just something they would support Trump doing, so they just assume. FFS, Trump plotted, planned and fomented an insurrection against the United States! Has any other president ever done anything worse? His supporters are ridiculous.

I think we were a hair more divided when Southerner conservative men fought to continue human trafficking.

But it's good to know that, after I say that I've accepted that somebody's going to get killed by cult members, that you think I should enjoy the ride.

From what I've been able to read, the warrant itself was pretty broad - "presidential records or any possibly classified material". I've often wondered if every former president's house was raided, how much classified and/or sensitive information would be found.

In the end, the results need to be that Trump will be convicted of a crime that bars him from seeking another term. If that doesn't happen, then get ready for Trump part 2. Bold move by Democrats that will be looked back upon endlessly should it not work.

It's not logical to think that an FBI search of Trump's residence would increase his popularity or decrease the chances of the opposing party to win the presidency. Wishful thinking and little understanding of politics.

Civil war seems far fetched to me.

If Trump gets indicted for any crime, the process will be very long and drawn out as Trump will delay and appeal for years as he has his entire life. Hannity and his fellow propagandists at Fox will realize from the evidence in the indictment that Trump's political career is over and they will guide the base toward some other wanna-be autocrat like DeSantis or Josh Hawley. Some in Trump's cult will become apathetic and fade from the political scene. Others will just hitch their wagon to whoever Fox is promoting. We will continue to have this seething, ignorant, violent underbelly in the Republican Party until it has completely self destructed. There will be violent incidents, but no civil war.

If nothing becomes of this raid do you think there will be many who view it as a political witch hunt? could Trump's popularity increase if that's the case? As I stated, it's a bold move by Democrats that could have a negative impact should nothing materialize.

If you could show that Biden used the DOJ corruptly, you might have a case. But aren't the reactions typical: Trump calling it a raid, his defenders assuming an overreach, his detractors seeing (hoping?) it's the beginning of the enf, others coming to other conclusions, this when we basically know nothing

Sure, all the MAGA crowd views it as a witch hunt. That's something like 30-40% of the voters.

The other 60-70% of the voters are looking at it realistically. Trump just had a FBI search warrant issued on his house. He just sat at a deposition and pled the fifth. He's got a criminal probe in Georgia with evidence on tape we have all heard. The January 6 Committee has shown the American public how he instigated the insurrection, did nothing to stop it, and plotted coups on 3 or 4 different bases. The DOJ is issuing subpoenas to his upper level cabinet and staff and they are talking to Grand Juries. He's in very hot water and the majority of the voters realize it and won't vote for a criminal.

No, his popularity isn't going to increase as it becomes more and more obvious he is a criminal.

Depdending on how this goes could mean a lot of possibilities. Anyone who has been convicted of inciting an insurrection is, by law, ineligible to hold public office.
