I don’t think it takes you anywhere in terms of proving that they intended for the occupation of the Capitol to be anything more than a symbolic act. They steamrolled the few Capitol police who resisted their attempt to enter the building. There was nothing preventing them from doing harm to Pence or any Congressperson except for 1 person willing to use force who very easily could have been overpowered. So why didn’t they?

They evacuated Pence and Pelosi as soon as the first person entered the Capitol building itself. The attackers still had police resistance inside the Capitol building to overcome. They had conflicting messages, mainly because they felt they were on the side of righteousness. They were wrong, regardless.

They probably realized there were many more than one Capitol LEOs that was equipped with firearms, and when they saw Babbitt's blood pooling on the Capitol floor, and those firearms had real live rounds in them; they didn't want to end up like Babbitt, and Trump wasn't capable of stopping those brave LEOs from interrupting their hopes of hanging Mike Pence, and most likely doing ill will towards other elected officials. There were also SS protecting the 'nuclear football' behind those secured doors, and they would assuredly have mowed down the useful idiots in mass quantities, had they actually been able to breach that door. IOWs, once Babbitt's blood started flowing, they got a wake up call they weren't as in control of "their house" as they had fallaciously assumed.
