For those who are interested, the IDF is maintaining a Youtube page at which it is periodically posting videos related to Operation Cast Lead. For those who are interested, the webpage can be found at: YouTube - idfnadesk's Channel

The IDF Spokesperson's webpage can be found at: IDF Spokesperson

Both sites contain a variety of information from the ongoing military operation, including summaries of events and documentation of Hamas launching rockets from a schoolyard.

Those videos are a joke, i have seen it and lets face it. Who would be stupid enough to actually believe it?
This is at a time of war where Israel's image and standing is below even China for God's sake. I'd be putting out BS videos to increase support for my death campaign in their position

Today, The Jerusalem Post reported:

In an effort to promote Israeli humanitarian efforts in the Gaza Strip, the Defense Ministry launched on Monday a new website that has three cameras with a live feed of the Kerem Shalom cargo crossing.

The feed will operate when the crossing is open.

The website can be found at:

The above is one of the images from 1/12, 12:42 pm in Israel, near the end of the daily Israeli 3-hour humanitarian ceasefire.

It should be noted that at least today, the website showed two images, not three.

There are people who would, you know, the folks who would describe any IDF attack even if it was directed at their own homes as "justified", "appropriate" or "self defense".

Can you prove they are a joke or is this just your knee jerk reaction?
Do you believe the BS being posted on sites like the Islamic forum at gawaher?

So you have absolutely no reason to submit that what we see on theses videos is not true, that Hamas does not use civilians as human shields, do not fire rockets from civilian areas mosques etc.
Debating as a rule is submitting some reasoning and facts beyond an opinion. Image of Israel stand very high among people of the world who see, know and understand the treat of Muslim terrorism to the whole world. The wave of anti-semitism is vocal and often is a sound of people who do not see the whole picture and danger for themselves, but it does not mean that Arabs in Europe are Europe and liberals in the US are the US.

When you have no reasonings or facts behind your claims you are not worth of any reply, I guess don1 have figure that out.

Showing only what you want to be shown on video doesn't make things factual.

You don't need to prove they are a joke. Watch a few of them then contemplate recent developments.

- International outrage over the disproportionate attacks
- Denial of foreign journalists in Gaza
- Increasing evidence that the war is a one-sided slaughter

Its obviously a propaganda tool to calm the uncertainty felt by some of Israel's supporters and to counter the negative international coverage.

Which of them does undertake the task to contemplate:

Increasing evidence that the war is a one-sided slaughter

Complaining that not enough Israelis are killed?

Sure it is, it does not mean it is not showing a part of the truth, and it does mean that it claiming that it shows the whole truth.

each time when we are reminded what methods and ways hamas is using it causes an international outrage -- dirty foams of to float up to the surface of the sea and call themseves an international outrage.

I can do this all day. Most of the time when you don't have anything to debate all you do is repeat what the other said and change a few words.

Great tact. I'd expect that from my 7-year old nephew, but not someone who claims he's not one bit ignorant on the issue of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

I guess you have problems with understanding basic texts. Sometimes changing a few words gives a sentence a whole new meaning.

Sometimes changing a few words like you did renders the sentence meaningless.

And then adding tripe about nephew with no reasoning renders all the post meaningless.

You have lost your steam sliced by the razor of reasoning and now go around producing only subtle fart .

I think that is just as bull****.
Absolutely. One of their videos is already proved as ****

BBC NEWS | Middle East | Propaganda war: trusting what we see?

Israel has tried to take the initiative in the propaganda war over Gaza but, in one important instance, its version has been seriously challenged.

The incident raises the question of how to interpret video taken from the air.

Israel released video of an air attack on 28 December, which appeared to show rockets being loaded onto a lorry. The truck and those close to it were then destroyed by a missile.

It turned out, however, that a 55-year-old Gaza resident named Ahmed Sanur, or Samur, claimed that the truck was his and that he and members of his family and his workers were moving oxygen cylinders from his workshop. It turned out, however, that a 55-year-old Gaza resident named Ahmed Sanur, or Samur, claimed that the truck was his and that he and members of his family and his workers were moving oxygen cylinders from his workshop.

The Israeli response was that the "materiel" was being taken from a site that had stored weapons. The video remains on You Tube.

But the incident shows how an apparently definitive piece of video can turn into something much more doubtful.

1 of their videos is already doubted. Hell, i refuse to take the rest of them seriously unless its backed by some further evidence.

He subsequently told the Israeli newspaper Haaretz: "These were not Hamas, they were our children... They were not Grad missiles.".

Sanur or Samur?

Search on HAARETZ returned 0 result for either combination.

‘’B'Tselem said these canisters were near the destroyed truck’’ [ did I find them?]

B'Tselem - 31 Dec. '08: Suspicion: bombed truck carried oxygen tanks and not grad rockets

‘’ B’Tselem received the testimony of Ahmad Sanur, the owner of the truck bombed.’’
‘’Among the things were two containers of benzene [?????] that I kept in stock.’’ ?

B'Tselem field worker took photos of oxygen canisters left on the site of the bombing.

B'Tselem - Testimony of Ahmad Sanur, Dec. 2008
Anyone who has ever seen transportation/ loading/ unloading of a few of oxygen – highly explosive - cylinders from a shop – or another truck? - will be doubtful that he sees on the video. As well the cylinders should be empty to survive a missile explosion + 2 containers of benzene, - and we see loading of 2 – but on pictures – 3 practically intact – like no explosion in front of the truck (why?) – with an intact rubber hose (why?). If I came and put them later on in front of the track. On other side if those were rockets, the truck must have a greater damage?

Transportation of Katusha rockets with the heads screwed of – as a rule they are screwed in right before the launch – with provide the possibility of a lot less care than an oxygen cylinder. There are only 2 or 3 seconds in the video that may me doubt that it these are not rockets, but the cylinders, - the one hand grip on one side, - but then I don’t know if HAMAS rockets allow it and I had to watch 2 times and to know that I should look for features of a cylinder to see it.

Certainly the IDF fighter did not have such a privilege – to look the 2nd time and he took the only reasonable decision, - fire a missile.
With the report of the Jewish human right watch it is more likely that those were not Katusha rockets even if the doubts remain. Thus one should nullify this particular video. It does not mean that all other videos should be nullified. I am only surprised that Jewish Human right watch is operating in Gaza.

11 Jan.: Casualty update
Gaza: at least 870 killed, of them at least 230 children and 93 women. Over 3,600 injured, of them over 400 severely injured (Palestinian Ministry of Health figures). Israel: 3 civilians and 7 soldiers killed. Over 78 civilians injured, of them 4 severely injured, not including those treated for shock, and 60 soldiers injured, of them one in critical condition.

B'Tselem - Testimony of Amana Enzeli, January 2009

Yesterday [7 January], at 8:00 A.M., the Israeli Air Force dropped fliers calling on the residents in our area to leave their homes immediately, and saying that if we didn't, they would bomb the houses with us inside

Don posted the leaflets, I don’t think any of them says anything like that, - cannot find the post, - but I am pretty much sure it is a flat lie.

B'Tselem is financed by the foreign ministries of the United Kindom and Norway, as well as foundations based in Europe and North America.

NGO Monitor, an Israeli non-governmental organization which aims to stop humanitarian NGOs from promoting agendas which are perceived as anti-Israel, has accused B'Tselem of having a political agenda and falsifying and distorting data. NGO Monitor further writes that B'Tselem employs "abusive and demonizing rhetoric designed to elicit political support for Palestinians".

[
CAMERA also alleged that B'Tselem defined as "civilian" Palestinians those killed while engaged in attacks on Israelis.[17]

B'Tselem replied by stating that The fact that a person carried a weapon but did not actually take it out and use it does not make that person a combatant.
The group also said it no longer
(no longer? no longer? no longer ?) classifies Palestinians into civilians and security forces in a position which has also been articulated by Israel's High Court of Justice.[18]

In December 1989 the organization received the Carter-Menil Human Rights Prize.[3][4]

This is a logical fallacy. I proved that BBC lied in 3 cases out of 4, it has not bothered to take it seriously and read the 4th time. Nothing new, you have been taking sides without any analyses or consideration.
