This is a developing situation, and I suspect it is likely to escalate into a confrontation between federal and local authorities.

Fallout from a blitzkrieg of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement sweeps in downtown Los Angeles continued Saturday, with fierce pushback from protesters, open sparring between L.A. leadership and federal officials, and a chaotic scene in Paramount as federal officials warned of more arrests to come.

“As Mayor of a proud city of immigrants, who contribute to our city in so many ways, I am deeply angered by what has taken place. These tactics sow terror in our communities and disrupt basic principles of safety in our city,” Mayor Karen Bass posted on X on Friday evening. “We will not stand for this.”

I don't normally quote Fox News; I'm doing it to show how this is likely going to be spun by the administration and his mouthpieces.

Federal officials slam Democrats for 'dangerous' rhetoric as ICE agents face violent mobs in LA, NYC

Under 18 U.S. Code § 111 Assault on a federal agent is a felony punishable by 8 years in prison. Assault with a deadly weapon like a brick or a rock is a felony punishable by up to 20 years in federal prison. In fact just laying your hands on a federal agent is considered assault. It's time to lock these people up.

Don't be surprised if this declared an 'emergency' and is used as a pretext for federal control and use of the military (national guard) on U.S. soil against a local population and local authorities.
I hope it does. They need to put an end to this insurection asap.

It wasn't long ago, back when Obama was the president, when righties were copy/pasting this passage by Thomas Jefferson:

And what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure.

Los Angeles is a minority majority city, and does not take kindly to the heavy handed tactics of ICE.

This is too reminiscent of the federal attempts to deport refugees from the civil wars in El Salvador and Guatemala.
To hell with LA and the communist that run that city and state.

What’s the punishment for violating the people’s constitutional rights?

Of course this is the purpose of the escalations in areas that do not want them.

They are trying to go where they are least wanted to provoke a reaction.

It’s also why they conceal their identities.

Why would they not continue?

In fact, they are taking it up a notch and bringing in the National Guard with them.

None. More power.
Illegal immigrants do not have rights. The majority of this country voted for mass deportations. I don't remember you commies getting your panties in a twist when Deporter and Chief Obama deported 5 million illegal aliens.

They conceal their identity because low life scum are doxxing them and their families
