ICE raids across L.A. spark backlash; Trump officials vow to continue operations

I love how they conveniently forget about Grassley accidentally showing the MAGA cards on 1/5.

I stopped reading after the first paragraph, a complete lie.

It was just a crazy coincidence, right? The "Hang Mike Pence" sign, the model gallows, on the same day as the electoral count? Proud Boys and others armed with bear spray - just another normal day in D.C.
Coincidence about what?

Is it your stance that everyone there was on the same page and they all wanted to hang Pence? Is that what you want to state?
Who said anything about normal?

Riots aren't 'normal', perhaps you need to take a look at the LA incident and then attempt to explain away the differences you see? Agitators at protests turn protests into riots.

LIKE LA. Some are there peacefully protesting, others are violent agitators rioting, but I am sure you are going to try and explain to me the differences.

I'll wait

That's not what the Trump administration is saying. See post 2372.
I'm confused. Post #2327 is:
The tyrannical, oppressive, fascist government ended 20 Jan 2025.
Were you referring to a different post than this one?

I don't believe those numbers but it looks to me like the Trump administration is saying that people who haven't committed crimes (except for being undocumented) have been deported as well.

These responses only occur under Trump.

How is it Clinton, Obama, and Biden, deported far more than Trump, without a peep from the citizenry? There's reason.
Partisanship. It’s that simple. You’re right that nobody said boo under Obama/Biden, but what you’re forgetting is that the pearl clutching and rancor from the left was unbelievable when the media tried to pass off the Obama/Biden cages as Trump’s.

I see it as running away from the obvious salient points of the day. Your take is a thin coat of paint on a very dirty house.

There was planning,
By a very, very few, yet the overly broad brush wants to paint everyone at the legal, legitimate and fully permitted political protest / demonstration that way.

there were weapons,
again, very, very few, some not even having been removed from the car trunk where they were.

there was a clear attempt to stop the electoral count.
Yes, yes, this is the politically motivated push narrative from the left, yet within a mere few hours that electoral count was held.

Your take ignores all of that.
All of those things are being made far too much of, frankly.

That's why we have investigations.
Investigations were conducted.

Yet another instance where the Dem's compliant and complicit MSM propagandists were pushing a baseless narrative.
An observant and critically thinking person might ask why all such instances end up favoring the left, and always disfavoring the right?
We get none of that from anyone on the left around here.

What does it matter what vehicles were burned.

Why were any vehicles burned if it was a peaceful protest?
A. Destroying federal property is a federal offense.
B. The protests were mainly peaceful. The mayhem after the Super Bowl is worse.

He's right too.
The CA. Democrats need to ditch their losing strategies and lame talking points though selfishly, I hope they continue to be on the side of violent agitators/rioters. Dunces.
no way any of this is a plus for Dems. They can try to sell "Trump did it" - but the visuals tell the story

Hard to accept all those wins by Trump last November. isn't it?.
Maybe the DNC will be a lot smarter about supporting a presidential candidate without the naming of a DEI running mate.
Well, there's always the chance, but its not one I think is likely, being that the DNC is so ensconced in DEI, only more so now that Ol' Joe tapped Harris to be the next to usefless VP - is there any assignment that she actually performed acceptable at? I can't think of any.

Their old standby, the boy cry wolf theatrics no longer works but let’s not tell them.
They always think they got him ‘this time’ while the rest of us are ahead of them by miles.

It would be most amusing and bizarre if the DNC once again chooses to prop up Kamala as the preferred Democrat candidate.
They propped up Biden until it was too late to do the right thing, so nothing will surprise me in 2028.

Yeah, at, like, 3:33 AM. Secret Service wanted to take Pence off campus, but he refused. Nothing to see here, just some rowdy tourists.

Coincidence about what?

You said that it definitely wasn't an attack on our democracy. I pointed out that there was plenty of evidence of planning some violence on that day, when we just happened to be certifying the electoral votes. And when the investigations were done, we learned that it went way deeper; fake slates of electors and pressure from trump to "find" the votes that would put him over the top. Pressure on Pence to accept the fake slates of votes. To me, that sure looks like a concerted effort to overturn a valid election, which sure looks like an attack on democracy.

Is it your stance that everyone there was on the same page and they all wanted to hang Pence? Is that what you want to state?

No, and it's a dumb argument for you to try and make. But some people loudly suggested hanging Mike Pence, and trump certainly didn't discourage that thinking. That's enough to be a problem.
