The judge had just granted the immigrant a non-removal order.

Unfortunately, as I understand it, there are two systems operating here. Apparently, even with a non-removal order, ICE can still arrest an immigrant. Arresting the comptroller is straight-up fascism.
 
All ICE are bastards.

ICE is under no obligation to show the administrative warrant to anyone other than the detainee or their authorized representative. You are not an "authorized representative" just because you plant your hippie ass between ICE and the detainee.
 
Republicans have collectively decided they would have turned in Anne Frank. She broke the law. You cannot reason with them on this issue.

Not so much. One of the things to resisting or obstruction of a Federal Agent is you have to know it is a Federal Agent. A masked idiot without identification or even a badge number is possibly impersonating a cop, see the damned RW Trump Fanboy who was hunting Democrats in Wisconsin for the dangers of that.

So NYPD officers wear badges with numbers on them, as do pretty much all the other cops. Nametags are also worn to say I'm a cop, my name is Franklin, and my authority is now established.

Oh, so now you don't really know if these were ICE agents? At this point all you know is that some unidentified thugs tried to snatch some poor person off the street but you're going to blame it on ICE because....why?
 
ICE appears to be serving as Trump's personal thugs.

I see the video of that female student getting grabbed on the street...if she'd had pepper spray, she would have had every right to defend herself from a possible assault/kidnapping.

Under no law. Obstructing ICE arresting an undocumented alien is a crime.

18 USC 111

However, ICE officers are not authorized to arrest U.S. citizens. Another officer of the law would have to effect such an arrest.

That's not true. The administrative process is established by statute and the statute is established by congress. You can ignore the LAW all you like but ignorance isn't a valid basis for a rational opinion.
