I Was Harassed/Intimidated At the Ballot Box Today

Earlier this morning, I dropped of my wife's and my ballots in the drop box a few blocks away. There was a middle aged woman loitering near the Drop Box. I said Goodmorning , and she said Hello or Hi . . . .

I put the ballots in the Drop Box and as I turned to head towards the street she said "I noticed that you put more than one ballot in the Drop Box."

"Indeed I did." I said. I continued walking towards the street. She kinda yelled "I'm with the Citizen's Coalition For Ballot Integrity. (or some fictitious, nonexistent group) and I'm investigating voter fraud."

I replied "Bye". and left. She mumbled something I couldn't understand.

I've been voting for more than 50 years and I've never been challenged or questioned or suspected of wrongdoing - - until today. The woman was obviously a democrat - - she was wearing a denim coat, and republican women would NEVER wear denim above the waist (unless they are camping).

Some might not consider this harassment or intimidation, but it was. The woman had no business speaking about the ballots or the election. I shoulda reported her.

Arizona has been the site of several alleged instances of voter intimidation, but similar incidents are happening elsewhere — including in swing states like Pennsylvania, as Mary McCord, executive director of Georgetown University’s Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection, told PBS NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff Thursday.
Axios reported earlier this week that members of extremist groups like the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys are being encouraged to sign up as volunteers in local election offices, putting people who wish to disrupt elections alongside the volunteer force that is a critical part of the election process. And groups like True the Vote and One More Mission — which have the financial and logistical support of some well-known Trump insiders — are mobilizing volunteers.

I honestly don't know why you people find it so incredible, and accuse me of making it up. This stuff happens all the time.

I think it was a mild form of intimidation. The woman had no right to be loitering at the box and she had no right to challenge me about using the box.

Notice that the drop-off ballot boxes are always located in traditionally Democratic establishments like schools, libraries, and community centers. Never at churches or police/fire stations.

That's not true. In my previous state we dropped off at the police station.

Citizen's Coalition For Ballot Integrity does not appear to exist, at least according to google.
