If you are going to talk about tonight's episode, or anything this season, please put your comments in spoilers, so as not to ruin it for those who have not watched yet.

Love the Dead... watching them all again. Nearing end of Season 6 right now...

There's this Jon Snow guy. . .

What’s the attraction with ‘zombies?’ Used to be vampires, but they bled out. Network TV is all but unwatchable. Even old films that I enjoyed once are impossible to watch with commercials added. Thank goodness for books!

Yeah, the Walking Dead sucks right now. I remember when I used to get so exited for The Walking Dead; now it just feels like I'm going through the motions. I'm actually way more invested in FTWD now than I am TWD (FTWD's season 3 was phenomenal). And this episode was terrible all-around. Especially with what they pulled at the end.

Scott Gimple needs to go. He had his time, but he has brought the show down, ever since that stupid cliffhanger in 6x16.

I stopped watching after season 3. There was no progression. Characters either kill each other or get eaten by zombies. Repeat ad naseum.

Yup. I stopped watching after the season Negin (sp?) was introduced. Same old stuff, recycled ad nauseum.

*SPOILER

So now Carl is a goner what si the point of Rick? He has failed in his original purpose which was to protect his family, now they are all gone and he's stuck with Shane's kid.

Oh and why hit Negan with the butt end of the bat? Why not smash him with the barbed wire?

I'm not a fan like I used to be. I watch because it's something that my 18 year old daughter and I get to do together. If not for that, I probably would have given up a long time ago.

It used to be ZOMBIES, with stories on the side to get you to like the characters. Now it's all about the characters, and the zombies are an afterthought.

And last night? Brutal. I have been a big fan of this character from the beginning. I had two that I really liked, and this character was one.

My problem with the show, is that it feels too scripted. In the earlier seasons, the conversations sounded authentic and real. But now, the dialogue sounds so forced. This is one reason why I now prefer FTWD over TWD now, because it's more believable to me.

Let me give you an example:

Not to mention the filler in TWD is so bad. I thought I might actually like this season more than the 7th, because it's a war, but I've honestly never been more bored watching TWD than I am now.

Ummm...

That's not the "spoiler" thing the OP was referring to.

I generally like it when they focus on characters rather than plot.

Where did Neegan get the unlimited grenade launcher ammo that he can just waste it blowing up all the houses? What happened to the Neegan who didn't want to lose any resources?

Why the hell did Carl get bit for some random idiot?

They made handling the zombies too trivial, so they aren't really frightening anymore. Not sure if this was trying to undo some of that, but i feel like, in the first season, some of the zombies were faster.

I gave up a few years ago. Every season was the same...they meet new people who join up, one gets killed the next week, then the rest over the season, etc. Boring.

The reason why zombies were faster in Season 1, was because of Frank Darabont's interpretation of how walkers should act. That's why some of them could climb fences, open doorknobs, and use bricks to break windows. Since he left the show, none of that happens anymore.
