Pure :spin:
I'm betting you also predicted Trump would never win in 2016 either.
ETA: Kasich's best chances are to join up with the Democratic Party.
He is dead in the water running on the GOP ticket.
Which of the indictments have something to do with trump working with the Russian go to rig our election?

Zero. This can't be emphasized enough. I've thought about it many times and in retrospect, I can't envision any other person in that large field being able to take on Hillary and the Clinton Machine.See, this is where so many liberals still don’t get it. Or more likely, they just don’t want to admit it. Trumps base is smarter than you think. In the primaries for example, which of the other 16 candidates would have beaten the crooked Clinton machine? You know, the one who cheated crazy Bernie out of the victory? ZERO.
In order to pull off that upset a different kind of candidate was needed. One who was not beholden to either party, one who was not afraid to call out the do nothing Congress. One who actually had a message, and a vision of where he wanted to take the country.
Clinton had none of that. Her message was Obama 3.0. Even Democrats didn’t like her. Lol.
Hell, I did not vote for trump in the primaries. I did not vote in the primaries. I was a Rubio supporter. Problem was trump KO’ed him pretty early. But I did vote for him in the general, and given similar circumstances I will do it again in 2020.
Cohen taped his meeting with Chris Cuomo where he said in no uncertain terms that he did it-the payment. So, this is just more distraction and attempts to embarrass Trump.Sorry but I don't see what you see. If you think firing comey is evidence of obstruction I think your going to be very disappointed. Cohen tapes have not revealed anything devastating so far.
It's going to take more than taking back control. They are going to need to present their argument to the people in a convincing manner or they will pay a very big price.

Actually none of that is obstruction of justice without something more to go with it.
I have no idea what the intent is but I do know his intent has nothing to do with if it's criminal or not. Cohen did more damage to himself than he did to trump.
Not liking someone is not the standard we use to convict somebody of a crime. I think your misplacing your confidence in hate trumping (no pun intended) people's sense of wrong and right. People are not going to go along with impeach in a president simply because some people don't like him. You need to make a convincing case. If they don't there will be a huge price to pay.

Exactly. He ruined his reputation. If Cohen hasn't violated any rules or laws which would get him disbarred-and I don't know how that all works but it seems awfully underhanded to make a habit of taping your meetings without the consent of the other person or people-I can't imagine clients will be clamoring to hand over the big bucks to retain his services after this.
Although voter approval ratings hover just below 40% in key states which is pretty bad those that wish him to be reelected is right around 30% and lower in the key swing States according to the latest NBC Marist poll.
Therefore, I predict he will be primaried and the likely candidate will be Kasich

I'm betting he gets challenged in the primaries, but it'll be by someone like Ben Sasse.
The only way I see your scenario panning out is if the GOP gets trounced in the mid-terms, loses both the House and the Senate, and turns on Trump in response. But even if that happens, it's even money whether or not he forms his own party and takes his base with him.
I don't think an incumbent President has been defeated for renomination since Grover Clefeland in 1896. Even Herbert Hoover got a second chance in1932, despite having presided over the first three years of the Great Depression. Therefore history in on Trump's side.
I still think he may be impeached.
Herbert Hoover did not win a second term. FDR won three terms

Want to put your money where your mouth is?
Some of that I agree with, but I think you have a few things backward.
No one (relatively) liked Clinton. Very true.
Trump not beholden? He'd have been impeached a year ago if he wasn't rubber stamping everything the evangelicals (Pence) and the corporate Repubs send him. All of his judicial picks come from short lists he gets from the Federalist Society.
Wanna see his promised policies in action - look at the tariffs. No one (except some zombies) thinks that's a good idea. It's so bad he's had to pull 12 billion out to paper over the damage to 1 part of 1 sector.
I think Kasich, Bush or Rubio could have beaten Hillary, she was damaged goods that the GOP had been smearing for 25+ years. Any one of those guys would be at 60% approval right now.
The dems beat themselves, and the Repubs let a corrupt to the core loon get through their primary process by turning into an insult and dick measuring contest.
Both parties are pathetic at this point. They serve the donor class, no one else.

Kasich - you gotta be ****ting me! He'd be lucky to win the primary in his own state.
Yeah, that 4.1% GDP growth announced this morning is a disaster. :roll:I doubt it. Trumpists love him too much. If he is still eligible to run, he'll rout any primary competition. Only exception would be if he destroys the economy by then, which is possible.
Recent polls show Republican voters tend to side with Trump vs party powers-that-be. I think by 2020 what Trump manages to accomplish will outweigh the party label.I respectfully disagree....
He may hold sway over a shrinking portion of the GOP but I see the remainder of the GOP just holding on for the ride and hoping to hell he finishes his term while avoiding impeachment.
Hell, a couple of Republicans I know wish he would be impeached and soon so the taint is decreased in time for the next election.
Yeah, that 4.1% GDP growth announced this morning is a disaster.
Kasich is sane. He won't do any better in a GOP primary than he did the last time.
Face it - Trump's base would die rather than oppose anything Trump says or does.
I'm beginning to detect the first hints of panic in our progressive friends. Trump's successes in the things ordinary people favor is cutting off most early Dem hopefuls at the knees. I almost spit coffee all over my monitor earlier this week reading dems latest "build the economy" paper. Mostly nebulous promises about stuff Trump is already doing, e.g. working with industry to train workers. I didn't see any mention of tax hikes but I'd bet a substantial amount hikes will be their first action to "pay for" the rest of their wet dream programs.Pure :spin:

What's the matter, giving up on the impeachment fantasy?
