I haven't been here in a very long time. I left several years ago because both the posters and the moderators were very obviously hard left back then. For fun I decided to stop by today and I noticed they made it very clear that this forum was unbiased and fair but after seeing several posts I discovered the place is filled with nothing but at least 80% to your 95% percent of nothing but leftists. Hardly unbiased and fair.

Over the years I have been in the middle and voted for mix of democrats, republicans, independents, and others. I actually voted for Obama for his second term. But, the left moved so far left I don't want them to ever see power ever again unless they change. It is rather funny though how you guys simultaneously warn MAGAs that Trump is really too far left for them while telling those more in the middle that Trump is MAGA.

Not many, which I'm sure you love. But, don't let it get to your head. Trump won for a reason. Trump won the popular vote for a reason. Trump won every single swing state for a reason. I spend about all my time on a different forum where the tables are turned and the large majority of the posters are conservatives and liberals have a tough day of it every day. But, if you don't understand any of that then you still have no clue why Trump is president and I love that.

Was an independent conservative in terms of voter registration for many years. The reason for being an independent was that I was actual moderate conservative on a number of issues, but even waaay back then, I wasn't conservative enough. Basically, since I wasn't all or nothing for the right, I was too "commie" for the taste of the local GOP in Maryland at the time. I had some social issues that I was way more left than right on, which didn't help matters.

I grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland...which was hardcore liberal. And they did some stupid crap there at the time. The DNC there got easily distracted by worthless causes instead of focusing on real issues at the time. Example: their campaign to get rid of backyard grills. As a result of growing up there, I always thought that was how the left was.

Then two things happened to me to go DNC.

First, going to college in North Carolina. I have never seen so much voting against one's self-interest as I did in the early 90's where NC GOP routinely shot themselves in the foot. Rampant racism (the Klan proudly marched every year in that town on the 4th) and gay discrimination bordering on violence. A part of the GOP I had no desire to be a part of.

Moving to Baltimore. What a lot of folks don't know is that most Baltimore DNC are fairly moderate, especially in comparison to the idiots down in MoCo. I was aligned far more with these folks, so after awhile when I finally got it through my skull that I could have some rightist thoughts and beliefs and still be a member of the DNC for the rest, as well as understanding that the DNC is as you find it wherever you go, I was fine going in with them. The GOP has, since my college days, never gotten past their own brand stupidity that I wanted no part of.
