I have a neighbor, he's living in a house left to him by his father when he died. He has lived rent-free in his parents house all his life. He's about, oh, I'd guess around 56 or 58 years old. He's a rabid, not avid, but absolutely rabid Trump supporter. I see him once in a while and when I do, all he does is rant and rage with anger about 'libruls' and 'bottom feeders' off the government, living 'on the dole'. He's an absolute racist and keeps repeating 'there's going to be war, and says he's ready with his guns for the war. His father died of cancer about 10 years ago, left him the house in a very suburban residential neighborhood, his mother died shortly after that of lung cancer. His father was a machinist with a major company and invested in stocks, made a lot of money, all left to him, the only survivor.

This guy looks like he came right out of the Ozark mountains of W. Virginia. He wears a stained dirty white t-shirt, he has a big mangy long white beard that's stained yellow from chain smoking cigarettes, he's got a juicy, rattling cough from smoking. He's got a big fat belly and sits outside most of the day smoking cigarettes and drinking Yuengling beer. He's lived with his parents all his life, never married, never held a steady job in his life. He complains about lazy people sucking up welfare money and living on 'my tax dollars'. He's had everything handed to him all his life, never paid a penny for rent or to buy food until his parents died. He has lived off their 'system' and drives a new Ford Mustang convertible paid for with the money his parents left him. He is a living, breathing quintessential hypocrite. He's had everything handed to him all of his life and he's complaining about people 'abusing the system.

That's a Trump supporter.

If what you say is true...and not fiction concocted by a fevered brain suffering from TDS...then sure, that is "a" Trump supporter. But if you want to imply that is "every" Trump supporter, I'll tell you to take your broad brush and shove it...sideways.

Ecce Homo!

That is just one aspect of the human condition.

Cheers.

Flaming bag of poop on the doorstep. Only solution.

The point is that Trump supporters have a misguided perception of others, while they themselves are very often hypocrites and are actually guilty of the very things they're accusing 'libruls' of being.

meh.....I think you will find extremist types of all flavors throughout the country; you just happen to be living next to one example; though I do not believe that typifies a trump supporter anymore than one example of the extreme opposite typifies all those that oppose him.

oh my GOD, THAT is a TRUMP SUPPORTER?? they ALL must be HORRIBLE!! every SINGLE ONE OF THEM!!

I mean, really, what do you expect to gain with that narrative about a single human being?

I think the point is he's not the only type of Trump supporter but that Trump is the only imaginable candidate his type would support above all others. He and his type are, in other words, perfect Trump supporters.

I have another neighbor, her deceased husband used to work in the Mayor's office, a Republican. She would vote for Satan himself if he was on the Republican ticket. She's extremely religious. She voted for Trump and she doesn't want to hear a single bad word about him, she's totally tone deaf to his cheating with other women, his lies and anything else related to Trump. She'll support him in the next election too, only because her husband was a staunch Republican for 60 years. That's idiocy, that's ignorance, that's blistering anti-patriotism, that's brain washing.

For people he seems to hate with a passion, he sure seems to know almost every detail of this mans life. Hey OP, key to concocting a credible lie is not to lay it on so thick.

Cool story bro.

I wonder how long this flame baiting trolling thread will be allowed to stick around

He just sounds very set in his ways and you're painting with a really wide brush here. I'd likely make the effort to get to know him better if he's your neighbor and at least try and offer friendship. You might be surprised if you get to know him better that he has more going on inside him than the little that you see. Just a thought.

that's the opinion she has a right to by being a free citizen of the USA, regardless of your opinion as to WHY she thinks that way.

I mean, how do YOU know her exact thoughts as to why she supports someone or not? sounds sketchy

Because trump stands for X, Y, Z, we cannot assume that those that voted for him also stand for X, Y, Z; doing so is intellectually lazy and cripples us by narrowing our views...and worse, its a handicap that is self inflicted.

I have not spoken to all the millions that voted for trump, and neither have I spoken to all the millions that voted for Clinton, so I cannot conclusively state what they stand for or why they voted the way they did......but I am disinclined to say those that decry the US flag as racist and a hate symbol are the mold of all democrats; they may be the exception, or they may be the rule, but I will not walk into that particular trap of assuming the few typify the many or vice versa.

I know him as much as I want to know him and as a matter of fact he's second cousin to my husband, but a side of the family we hardly knew. Nope, there's no depth to him, nothing interesting at all. There's no reaching someone whose just absolutely so narrow-minded and bigoted that there's no space in his mind for reasoning or critical thinking.

I think he has two points, one to point out his prejudiced view towards people in West by God Virginia. Evidently unaware that the Appalachian Mountains are in West Virginia and Ozarks are in Southern Missouri and northern Arkansas. Being raised in the back hills of WVA I resent the slur cast on all West Virginians.

Second point, to cast aspersions against all Trump supporters based on one person, do I detect a bit of envy for not having everything handed to him in like fashion? Seems he doth protest too much, I could say typical liberal, but then I would be guilty of using the same broad brush to unfairly tarnish a large group of people as he did West Virginians, so I won't say that.

Sure sound like a "deplorable" to me.

I'm gonna need an anti-Trumper story to compare. From a conservative.

What's your point? How is he a hypocrite? His money wasn't stolen from other people by the government for him. It was freely given to him by his parents. His parents absolutely had the right to do so. He has the absolute right to benefit from this. He has a right to oppose the government taking his and giving it to you and/or other people - because it is his money. Like his parents, he has the right to decide who to give him money to.

I don't know about that. Nonetheless, let me coin a now famous Trump phrase to explain:

In that video, replace Trump supporters for Mexicans and you get the idea!

Is that kind of a person that generates respect? Leadership? Role Model? Good Example of what an American is thought to be? Is that the kind of person you aspire to be like? Would you value him being in your life?

Don't we aspire to be the best we can be or be the worst we can be?

How much would you like it if everyone was like that? Would this be a nation where accomplishments (such as we have had in the past) would continue to occur if everyone was like him?
